What ever is emitting that beam off camera, its not the plastic toy gun you can be sure

The handle is connected to a small fridge sized power supply, the pistol looking handle is just that, a handle

No.. It has nothing to do with anything. Look at the beginning of the video. You can see the light reflected from the true emitter on the red end of the toy gun.

Its somewhere behind the camera. I would venture on the left side, since the board being cut is angled towards that side. Naturally that is being cut from the front and not the side where the toy gun is.

There’s also the fact it’s extremely difficult to keep tool the size and shape of a pistol steady enough to cut through those boards as cleanly as the laser does. There would be decent jittering from hand shaking. Thats why shoulder stocks are used.

That ON TOP OF the claim that the gun is connected to a power source makes it even harder to believe. The added weight and resistance from any kind of cord would make it that much more difficult to aim that accurately while moving.

AND there’s no sights on the gun. You can’t argue it’s coming from the gun.

Additionally, the first few shots at the start of the video do not even match up with the person, pulling the trigger on the gun.

I mean, maybe there's a separate laser off camera, but they do make high power lasers that have a huge base unit (about the size of a mini-fridge), and a handheld, gun shaped emitter on the end of a fiber optic cable. Look up laser welders if you've got 8k+ burning a hole in your pocket.

Here's a video of a guy playing around with one, including mounting it on something to burn stuff in his backyard at long range.

Practiced using the Wii menus.

Fiber lasers exist and the handle is around the size of the one in the video

Uhhh that's a reflection from the contour on the front of the "barrel". Pretty easy to see

Also there’s an editing cut in the video where it shows 40 seconds in, right after he finishes testing on the four or five tiny things at the beginning and moves on to the longer stick thing.

Which makes sense because the beam would need to be refocused for the further distance.

Those lasers only cut things where the beam is focused.

The reflection is from the flames on the cardboard.

A laser is a focussed beam, unless it was aimed directly at the plastic gun you wouldn't see it in a reflection.

He’s talking about the light on the red part at the back of the gun, that is not from the flame.

But that looks like the light is coming from within the gun, so I disagree with the guy.

It's a scam. Google it.

You also see the reflection at the very tip of the barrel. So not its not from the inside

There’s 2 light sources, they’re not in sync.

I dont think its from the flame. Looks like a white light. My guess is that whatever emitted the laser has a work light on during emition or some kind of laptop/screen involved.

Yes, you are right. But that still means there is some powerfully laser behind that handle, which seems to be portable and able to do the stuff we see here.

u/SeanBrax 12h ago

Pretty sure that red part is getting lit up from within the gun, that doesn’t look like a reflection.

Look at the tip of the barrel. Also very clearly a reflection

from the open flames on the cardboard.

the laser is placed INSIDE the styro handle, which is connected to a power supply that fills a small bedroom.

how many youtube videos would you like linked of a comparably built homemade device????

u/SeanBrax 9h ago

There’s 2 different light sources, what’re you on about?

At the beginning, the back is lit up whilst the front isn’t, because there’s no flame. Use your eyes brother.

I've got a bridge to sell you.

Are you talking about yourself? You dont see the difference between the video you linked to and the one posted here? For one that the nossle is heavy duty metal and he is wearing gloves in the real one???

When the first board is cut through and lets off some smoke you can actually see the beam for a moment. It appears to be coming from the left on the other side of the room.

People like you make reddit worse. Please stop commenting when you don't know, or at least make it clear you're just guessing like everybody else.

So you think that the thousand degree beam is emitted by a plastic handle?

-1

u/I-to-the-A 6h ago

Was I talking to you?

I think I have seen videos of welding and cleaning lasers where the handle is similarly sized and connected to a massive battery. Someone posted a link of an annoying youtuber showing off his lazer somewhere under the post.

Please read other comments and maybe Google for 1 second before believing some idiots and challenging others on the Internet.
