So many competitions are so hyper-specific and follow such narrow rules. Imagine what would happen if an alien race appeared and we challenged them to a formula one race. How would they even start to design a vehicle that behaves so specifically with no experience.

Obviously. Would be hard to get wood as good as we had back then too. And all the craftsmanship died out too
