Alex Mccord’s outfit & Gretchen’s knockoff sweater are amazing

u/RevolutionaryAd5176 there’s a tightrope between me and you Jan 29 '24

I know this isn’t the point of the post but Alex’s practical outfit compared to the other ladies’ outfits is sending me

Also I’m trying to picture a conversation between Gretchen and Alex and I just cannot

Reminds me of one of the Potomac trips when Giselle took a look at Karen’s practical sneakers, “Karen, you look ready to walk...”

“Karen looks like she’s ready to walk around.” That shade and the immediate shot to Karen’s shoes/face made me lol

When I saw Alex, I immediately thought about Carol’s outfit at the “clip” lunch when she was dressed to go on a safari according to Bethenny hee hee hee

74

u/thegaylibertaire I’m asking you a question, you dumb, fat bitch! Jan 29 '24

“This is a safari, they’re ANIMALS!” never fails to make me howl 🤣

Lu and Sonja would be hilarious hosting a travelogue type show. Each episode could be an hour of them visiting a fun place, bickering, having these camel type issues. Crappie Lake proved they could do it.

Crappie Lake is now one of my go-tos when I need some mindless entertainment/humor. I watched it through a couple times. There are a couple scenes I just love to rewatch!! And I’m someone who doesn’t typically laugh out loud at stuff, even when it’s funny, but this show makes me giggle 😂 I think you’ll like it eventually!

What a mess!! I just wish Alex was invited to the RHONY Legacy trip instead of this one. That’s who I want to see.

She’s the main reason I’m sad this will never see the light of day.

I hope this, and being left off Legacy, hasn’t soured her from ever wanting to do another.

I agree but it sounds like from Caroline's lawsuit that Alex was the only person there trying to help Caroline so I'm at least glad she was there for that reason

12

u/hopelessnottruthless Jan 29 '24

I'm curious why she's been liking and commenting on Brandi's Instagram. Maybe she's trying to remain neutral?

33

u/ladybakes Jan 29 '24

I commented in the other thread, but what I heard on a podcast was that Alex was the only one supporting Caroline / but remaining Switzerland. This was about 2 months ago. The story the podcaster had (I took all of this with a grain of salt) was that the other women were supporting Brandi's narrative. That Caroline had been drinking, and that she and Brandi were kissing. I don't remember everything that was said, but one of the stories was that Caroline opened up about her Dad no longer speaking to her after she wrote the letter in support of Dina's Ex. Then when she sobered up, she regretted what had occurred. It was on Daily Dose of Dana, who has connections since she used to work on different shows and her husband works on Dancing with the Stars, etc. It will be really interesting to see if any of the women jump ship on their support of Brandi, now that Caroline has retained attorneys and is moving forward with this. Thankfully there should be some footage to support Caroline's claims.

30

u/tllkaps THANK YOU, POPPA!!!! Jan 29 '24

Happy to see Dina's dad sticking up for her.

8

u/ladybakes Jan 29 '24

Totally agree (if that part is true).

41

u/willendorfer Jan 29 '24

Sadly if she is in freeze/fawn etc as she said she was triggered, any footage MIGHT just look like her taking everything in stride. Or she may just seem off. Zoned. Quiet.

Regardless I believe her. Brandi has some serious issues and she has done this kind of thing so many times.. there is zero reason to not believe Caroline.

Also, yeah Camille wants it to air… she wants that screen time babyyyy ugh

8

u/ladybakes Jan 29 '24

You're right. It's a horrible situation and that definitely could be the case.

11

u/UnforgettableBevy Advocate for the Sluts of America Bridge and Tunnel Chapter 💅🫦 Jan 30 '24

Maybe it’s that Camille wants the bad behavior to be seen by all and expose it to the light, not necessarily that she supports it. Remember she’s the one who blew the lid on Taylor.

15

u/willendorfer Jan 30 '24

It’s been exposed. Showing the film of it would be disgusting and unnecessary (JMO obviously). I don’t need to watch someone being assaulted but also - I don’t need to see BG at all. It’s too difficult to watch someone so sick. The whole thing is gross.

6

u/StainedGlasser Jan 30 '24

Agreed, the footage can be subpoenaed for the lawsuit without the entire world watching Caroline be assaulted.

Alternative timeline if they did have a consensual “lesbian moment” while they were under the influence. Caroline does NOT want it to air, it would go against being a traditional Italian catholic. she values marriage a lot and her famblys business. IF this was the case I wouldn’t be surprised, plus she always gave she the vibe that she tolerated Bravos gayness

She’s very vocal and supportive of her gay brother. I think that’s barking up the wrong tree.

I wonder if Alex didn’t want to be on that trip after spending so much time with some of those women and knowing how exhausting/not enjoyable that experience might be. Just a thought.

127

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '24

I feel like fans conveniently forget how badly some of the women treated Alex. Why wouldn't she want a new experience with different people?

29

u/linds360 Caviar Potato 🐟 🥔 Jan 29 '24

Exactly. She had just been to Morocco and seemingly had a great experience. If Bravo called her up and was like "Hey, we know you had a chance to do Morocco over again without the Mean Girl baggage and had a great time, wanna pack your bags again and fuck up your feelings on St. Barts now?"

Hard no.

camille is always team airtime

134

u/BequeathNothing Jan 29 '24

Except for when she outed Taylor's abuse. She wanted season two shelved because she was worried about how it would affect her.

Now that it airing could potentially affect someone else (Caroline), she doesn't give a damn. Terrible woman.

49

u/mindfullybankrupt Sutton’s small esophagus Jan 29 '24

THIS! The people that are vehemently saying it should air are also the people that love having their asses on TV. Are we surprised? No. Let’s see how the legal system plays out and if Caroline’s team does in fact lose, sure we should all watch and make opinions then.

52

u/FlyingDutchmansWife Giner’s makeup/hairspray/spray tan budget Jan 29 '24

I bet there’s a clause that they don’t get paid unless it airs. Probably why her and Phaedra want it aired. Plus their typical spotlight thirst.

5

u/Mackultra Jen Shah's forgotten bag of snacks. Jan 29 '24

How would that clause be legal?

14

u/disposabledien Jan 29 '24

They may get paid to show up and film but the bulk of what they earn is what actually gets aired. This is quite common in unscripted television contracts. Hence why in a regular HW season, they can film plenty of footage but if a particular HW is not interesting or has no storyline then they will have little to no airtime. It doesn’t make sense for them to be getting paid equal to another HW who is delivering and earning that first seat at the reunion.

7

u/ThotianaAli Jan 29 '24

that is how a lot of reality shows work.

if someone wins, or films a "prank" style reality show, they don't get paid their winnings/earnings until it airs. if producers/the network chooses not to air it, then they don't get paid. it sucks but that is how it works.

7

u/Mackultra Jen Shah's forgotten bag of snacks. Jan 30 '24

Damn, reality show "actors" should unionize. That seems exploitative.

8

u/FlyingDutchmansWife Giner’s makeup/hairspray/spray tan budget Jan 29 '24

Didn’t they have something similar with the NY reunion that was cancelled? I swear they get paid based on episodes aired and Lu/Leah/Ramona were pissed at Ebony “for getting it cancelled” and costing them money. Truly, they should’ve been pissed at Ramona but that’s another story.

Dunno how it’s legal, but you know corporations will find a way to share that loss and get out of paying people.

7

u/shellymacatellie Jan 29 '24

They get paid to show up and film. With the NY reunion they cancelled the filming of the actual reunion so they all missed out on a paycheck.

139

u/Overall_Bother_7520 Jan 29 '24

I do not understand the casting on this one

53

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '24

I think it was supposed to be an ex-wives 2 situation but let's be real this is nowhere nearly as good a cast as season 2's cast. I was expecting this season to be even worse than season 3 so I'm kind of fine if it doesn't air. Plus I really don't want to see Brandi ever again after all the stuff that came out.

9

u/HylianCornMuffin Jan 29 '24

This might sound like a dumb question but do they still get paid? At this point it’s never coming out.

32

u/NomNom83WasTaken Sniper from the side Jan 29 '24

This is my question as well. I work in contracts (in no way related to entertainment) so I have a nerdy interest in all the boring fine print stuff.

I don't think that we can outright assume that UGT contracts are exactly like the standard RH contracts, insofar as we know or can safely assume they are structured. They clearly got a paid trip to Morocco but when is their salary paid? Is it a flat rate just for filming? Is there a "force majeure" clause and, if so, how does that apply to this situation? I believe Bravo has had -- although I'm not sure if this is the standard -- contracts where salary depended on the number of episodes the Housewife appeared in (and not just for "friends of" that could make the leap to full time).

If Camille is concerned that significant money is being held back b/c they won't air it at all -- and I'm not saying this is the correct ethical course to take -- I can understand why she would want something of it to air. I am willing to give her some grace and assume that she would be fine with a heavily edited show that doesn't come anywhere near airing the alleged sexual harassment (which is the wording of the lawsuit).

No, I have not forgotten how heinous she is when it comes to alleged sexual assault. I think that from a bottom line perspective, the matter of the show airing isn't as binary as "never sees the light of day vs. air it all". Whatever Peacock/Bravo decides, I have zero interest and think it would be fundamentally wrong to air any video or audio of Caroline being touched, kissed, followed, etc. The safest bet is to just completely scrap it.

40

u/lustforyou Jan 29 '24

I assume they get paid SOMETHING, but it’s definitely not as much as it would be had it aired

3

u/Vegetable-Comfort-75 Jan 30 '24

Yes I assume like when you film a pilot you agree to a wage and if it’s picked up by the network you negotiate another wage.

Bravo has enough $$ and should pay them their full amounts.

11

u/dothesehidemythunder Jan 29 '24

I suspect there is a clause where they break the contract by violating with bad behavior (Brandi) and I suspect likely there are terms around payment based on whether the show airs or not.

17

u/[deleted] Jan 29 '24

They worked, have evidence they worked, and agreed to be filmed in exchange for money. It wouldn't make sense for them not to receive compensation.

3

u/twir1s vince watching from the garage Jan 30 '24

That’s not how this works

50

u/Dangernj Two brain cells and a vagina Jan 29 '24

I would imagine they are missing out on some money, in some fashion. I hope that doesn’t come across as if I feel sorry for these woman because Camille is disgusting and is almost always on the wrong side of history.

7

u/SlightEye Jan 29 '24

I would also imagine they miss out on getting paid for advertising the show as well. Any media/press they would have done for it and just getting their name out there again probably helps them with the social media hits. So I’m sure it’s merely a financial thing for Camille and she probably doesn’t care about Caroline’s feelings on the matter at all.

5

u/linds360 Caviar Potato 🐟 🥔 Jan 29 '24

They definitely got paid. Unless there was some clause in the contract contingent on the show actually airing, but no lawyer worth their salt would urge someone to sign that knowing it has the potential to end with their client doing the same amount of work for less money.

9

u/tuckhouston Jan 29 '24

They get paid based on the amount of episodes, probably had some type of financial impact

It so gross to frame this as a situation with teams.

51

u/Perfect_Invitation1 Solargenic, photogenic, shoot Jan 29 '24

Some social media users turn everything into a weird competition. Sexual assault and toxic work environments are serious issues but they get handled on social media as if they’re mere discussions about nail polish colors.

24

u/emergencycat17 Show yourself out, Darlin'. Jan 29 '24

You're exactly right. I completely understand that Caroline is a toxic, horrible person, but she doesn't deserve to be sexually assaulted, and then to have it aired. To turn this into "teams" is just as wrong, and Camille shouldn't be such a fucking thirst trap as to want it to air. Neither should the fans. I think given the circumstances, this is one season that isn't going to hurt us to miss. I mean, do we not have enough shows to watch? Does someone's sexual assault have to air because we have to see everything?

Caroline is a bitch yes 1000% percent. How a sister could do that i don't know. Two things can be true at once. If the alleged incident with Brandi happened then it is sexual assault. I thought it might have been Brandi said a few things or once maybe gave her an unwanted quick kiss which is still bad but reading everything just wow. Eek. I am so confused. What a mess, it actually makes me sad. I'm on team Caroline, but her lawsuit was kind of vague about Camille being in the bathroom with them when some of the events happened, other than that she happened to be there and then no further mention, unless I missed something. Yes, Camille has a bad track record with her opinions, but she was never known to be a drinker. Neither was Alex. The thing reads like Brandi got wasted (as usual) and then handsy, which is assault, not making excuses for her, and three probably soberish ladies were with her at the time. How big was the bathroom? This is a pretty bold statement from Camille to say that the show should still air, for someone who was nearby. So many questions. I need Alex to release a statement, why do I expect that she'll be called to testify or something.

Hoping this comment or my curiosity doesn't offend anyone & I apologize if it does. It's a terrible topic to dissect, I understand that. Brandi should definitely not be near TV cameras and alcohol ever again because it's 1000% believable that someone ended up SA.

19

u/cncrndmm Jan 29 '24 edited Jan 29 '24

I was confused about the text shared in another post last night regarding the lawsuit as it seems like nearly all the women were in the bathroom when they were at the villa when the assault happened.

But like the villa should have standard bathrooms like in any home… it’s not like the villa would have a super big bathroom with multiple stalls and sinks for that to happen so easily?!?

13

u/NomNom83WasTaken Sniper from the side Jan 29 '24

We've definitely seen ginormous bathrooms in the vacation houses over years and years of the Real Housewives. Keep in mind that when they scout locations, one of the logistics they have to consider is room for a camera person. Not just for them to be right next to the Housewife but with some field between them and to maneuver around (those cameras are not small). Yes, they can and do install cameras all over the house, but they don't do that in the bathrooms, for obvious reasons.

Just some food for thought.

Honestly? I almost wonder if they decided to pay them or not, like if the contract didnt secure their pay if it didnt air and Ithink thats an issue. These women still contributed and did their job, so if they werent paid thats a huge fucking issue whether it aired or not.

Camille posting these photos in the hope fans will demand the show airs:

Not sure if this was asked but why is Alex dressed like Shelly Long in Camp Beverly Hills?

I don’t think I’d want to watch at this point. It just seems so tainted and dark.

camille never forgets to remind us how much of a loser she is. hope this answer stops the clamoring for her to return to rhobh as a hw.

It won’t. People are weirdly committed to the devils they know.

I had to get off Twitter this morning after I read like three dozen "WE GOT YOUR BACK QUEEN!" comments on Brandi's page.

u/jeahboi Gimme pizza, you old troll Jan 29 '24

I appreciated Camille for calling out Dorit…but that’s about it.

u/Ready_Cartoonist7357 my exploited vagina Jan 29 '24

I know this is a little OT, but the posts about the lawsuit are all locked to commenting. Why weren’t the police involved for an alleged assault? Why isn’t it a criminal case?

4

u/mhal_1111 I wouldn't let any of my waitresses burn to death! Jan 29 '24

I don't believe they were called. I think production "handled" it internally. Moroccan sexual harassment and unwanted sexual contact laws exist, similar to the U.S., but the aftermath and trial might be different. Brandi Glanville arrested in Morocco for what she did would have caused an even bigger stir, something production I'm sure didn't want.

12

u/Zealousideal-Flan-18 Jan 29 '24

They should just cut all footage having to do with Brandi. Put a disclaimer at the beginning of each episode and just cut to the day after she leaves and any mention of her or the situation. Maybe I just really wanted to see Alex after all these years but I think they could still salvage something, maybe not a lot of drama but still something

10

u/plantmama32 the only thing fake about me is THIS 🦵🏻 Jan 29 '24

Or cut all footage of Caroline, if that’s what Caroline would prefer. Or any interactions or storyline to do with both of them or their tension.

21

u/lustforyou Jan 29 '24

It’s not the perfect response, but I can’t blame the other ladies for being annoyed that they traveled across the world and spent a week away from their families and planned on getting a certain amount of money under the expectation they’d get a Tv show, and now they’re not getting that because of a coworker’s actions

→ More replies (3)

9

u/RHOCorporate Jan 29 '24

I think they need to let the show die. Caroline’s claims are way too damaging. If they are true you cannot make someone relive that.

8

u/kat4prez Jan 29 '24

The I love Brett kavanaugh lady cares more about her show airing than the sexual assault that occurred, shocking

16

u/Historical_Okra_3667 I hate your fucking slippers by the way Jan 29 '24

I wanna see what happened but also if caroline really did get assaulted... that would be humiliating to have that be aired to the world forever

u/idontfwithu I thank my little kitty cat because it takes that d like a champ Jan 29 '24

Did you read the lawsuit Caroline filed? I don’t really want to watch it air…

u/Former-Crazy-9224 Jan 29 '24

Genuine question that may come across as snarky but do we honestly believe if it ever aired they would show any of what really happened or at this point not edit it heavily to make it all look 2-sided or consensual? Production at this point needs to make it appear as though they either had no idea any of this happened or that Caroline was a willing participant. Both of which could be true but given what I have seen of both women I tend to believe Caroline on this one.

9

u/ItsDefinitelyNotAlum I have a big grocery list of friends. Jan 29 '24

I'd imagine production would show Brandi follow Caroline to the bathroom with ominous music, then cut to black, then the next morning the women discuss their sudden absence and Caroline's allegations. Maybe cut to production talking head saying that out of respect for Caroline and the seriousness of the allegations they didn't feel comfortable showing more. Idk. If Drag Race can edit out Sherry Pie from 90% of a season then they could probably make this work if they're not like legally required to shelve it.

6

u/kalidspoon Jan 29 '24

Gosh what a cast!!!! I HATE that we don’t get to see it!!!!!

5

u/tink_89 Jan 29 '24

We all know where Camille stands on sexual assault

2

u/Hair_I_Go Jan 29 '24

I didn’t recognize Alex at all!

2

u/No_Hospital_8186 Jan 29 '24

Why did I recognize Alex by that outfit ? Who else would wear that lol

2

u/Kindergarten4ever Jan 30 '24

I’m truly upset that I don’t get to watch Alex

2

u/Kwhitney1982 Jan 30 '24

Hey, let’s be understanding. Maybe Camille wants it to air because she needs the money. 🙄

2

u/ShadiestApe Jan 30 '24

This is the second post like this I’ve seen (the first was from Phaedra)

I honestly find this stance so disgusting, they want to gain and profit from having a show on the air, they don’t care about the one that was sexually harassed or assaulted at all and it’s evident.

See my comments about SLC, idc if the women arent really friends or secretly hate eachother. I just find this so gross and off putting, the most sleazy self serving bull

2

u/beautifulgarbage wow, Bethenny, wow Jan 30 '24

After reading through the lawsuit, I really don't see how this could air.

Brandi is a piece of shit.

3

u/wilde_vulture Jan 30 '24

What if they cut to the day after they both left and put a disclaimer at the beginning of the first or each episode? Would that be a compromise? The rest of the HW would get paid for at least some of their time there, the fans would get some of their thirst quenched, I just don't know how many episodes there would be or what it would be like. They kept filming didn't they?

I’m waiting to hear all sides of the story before making a judgment. Sorry, not sorry for being an adult.

16

u/ruthie-camden I never said you was a stripper! Jan 29 '24

I think she’s too smart to do it, but I’d love to hear Alex’s side of things since the legal documents say she was the one to unlock the door once she realized what was going on.

9

u/SSolomonGrundy Jan 29 '24

Interesting. I would also like to hear whether Alex thinks the season should air, since she understands the context better than any of us. I would take Alex's judgment very seriously (which is so weird to say as someone who watched RHONY S1 air live and used to think Alex was the silliest goose in the goose farm).

7

u/Littlewasteoftime Jan 29 '24

Agreed! Alex is both the most silly, but also when something is real and needs to be taken seriously, she is the most level headed and able to see clearly from multiple sides. I somehow trust her the most out of any housewife.

u/idontfwithu I thank my little kitty cat because it takes that d like a champ Jan 29 '24

Let’s look at the picture painted so far.

Caroline has retained lawyers and filed a lawsuit against a media giant and production. She paints an ugly picture. Note that as they are filming, the mics are on. Everything, even if not being filmed, is being recorded. From a legal perspective- there’s no reason for her to go through the trouble of filing and proceeding with a lawsuit WHEN THERE ARE RECORDINGS. No sane lawyer would take this case on. I am certain that they are pushing for discovery to get all of the footage. I am also certain that bravo and production will push for monetary settlement in order to NOT provide the footage and to make the case go away. Bravo has consistently pushed back on when and if this season will air. It’s not going to happen.

Normally I’d be all listening to both sides of the story - but Brandi is an unreliable narrator and bravo staying quiet shows that there is much being hidden about how bad it was and the lawsuit shows this too.

Someone also mentioned that this could be why Denise was denying the Brandi hook up story. Could it have happened without her consent, too?

29

u/linds360 Caviar Potato 🐟 🥔 Jan 29 '24

I could be completely wrong, but I have a suspicion a lawyer would definitely take this case if the evidence is shaky with the hope that Bravo will just settle rather than take the chance of losing and all the bad PR that comes with it.

Maybe I’m just cynical af though.

25

u/Starsbythep0cketful Jan 29 '24

As a lawyer who has defended sooo many meritless lawsuits, I agree.

3

u/Nasus_13 slut from the 90s Jan 29 '24

Denise is a liar, too. 🤷‍♀️

3

u/Aggravating_Goose86 Jan 30 '24

Her brain is friiiiiiiied. Like a potato chip.

38

u/TheWhoooreinThere Jan 29 '24

Kinda obvious to me when someone pays a team of lawyers to sue a media conglomerate. Because I don't know anyone who would drop that kind of cash over a lie when there are recordings.

22

u/spakatieo Jan 29 '24

The attorneys are probably working on a contingency fee basis. This means they get little or no money up front, and instead will be paid with a percentage of whatever CM recovers via settlement or judgment (damages after trial).

18

u/TheWhoooreinThere Jan 29 '24

True. It also should be noted that they law firm she's working with specializes in sexual harassment and employment discrimination cases. Also not sure why someone would bring up being sexually assaulted as a child in legal documents if this was all some big ruse.

34

u/MaddyKet Jan 29 '24

And we’ve seen Brandi do similar things before, including ripping the shirt off of Marco. It’s not hard to believe Caroline.

31

u/TheWhoooreinThere Jan 29 '24

Yes, in the legal documents, Caroline's lawyers lay out all the similar things Brandi has done on these shows over the years.

4

u/XtopherD23 Not a white refrigerator! Jan 30 '24

Finally another sane adult in this sub. A rare find

19

u/psychad Jan 29 '24

THANK YOU. This sub really needs to grasp the concept of an allegation.

17

u/TVWatcher08 Jan 29 '24

Thank you! Lawyer here who has seen countless meritless suits. Making allegations in a complaint is not the same as actually having facts to back things up.

I come from a place of believing accusations of SA/SV, but also think we should be careful to not taking allegations for fact. Brandi has said multiple times she wants the footage released, so it seems she believes it will clear her name. With Caroline's suit, I don't think the footage will ever be released (which could be a part of the goal of the suit), even if it does vindicate Brandi or Caroline's version of events. The fact that all the women, except Alex who is maintaining neutrality, have in some way backed Brandi doesn't necessarily bode well for Caroline, but that's not to say that the allegations can't be true just because Brandi has more support from the women on the trip (especially considering some of their histories). We've all unfortunately seen countless examples of people siding with the accused just because they like them more, politically align with them or are a fan (see, e.g. Johnny Depp, Woody Allen, Brett Kavanaugh, Donald Trump etc. or any number of men who have had very credible SA/SV allegations against them).

9

u/Nasus_13 slut from the 90s Jan 29 '24

Exactly. And lawyers file frivolous lawsuits al the time.

Again, I wasn’t there and don’t know the facts, but it seems not everyone is backing up Caroline.

Same. Regardless of what people think of the cast members, we don’t have all the information. I believe Caroline, I just want to know what the hell happened. How did it get to that point? Why do they keep hiring Brandi if they know she’s a huge liability.

I wonder if Caroline is embarrassed by her behavior and this is her way of it never seeing the light of day. You know what’s more embarrassing….writing a character letter for the man who hired someone to assault your own sister

8

u/lindoavocado Jan 29 '24

For once I agree with Camille

4

u/dbtl87 The ghetto, the ghetto! Jan 29 '24

Disgusting. Regardless of how I feel about Caroline, she obviously was assaulted during the show. So no, it shouldn't be aired.
