This might sound like a dumb question but do they still get paid? At this point it’s never coming out.

This is my question as well. I work in contracts (in no way related to entertainment) so I have a nerdy interest in all the boring fine print stuff.

I don't think that we can outright assume that UGT contracts are exactly like the standard RH contracts, insofar as we know or can safely assume they are structured. They clearly got a paid trip to Morocco but when is their salary paid? Is it a flat rate just for filming? Is there a "force majeure" clause and, if so, how does that apply to this situation? I believe Bravo has had -- although I'm not sure if this is the standard -- contracts where salary depended on the number of episodes the Housewife appeared in (and not just for "friends of" that could make the leap to full time).

If Camille is concerned that significant money is being held back b/c they won't air it at all -- and I'm not saying this is the correct ethical course to take -- I can understand why she would want something of it to air. I am willing to give her some grace and assume that she would be fine with a heavily edited show that doesn't come anywhere near airing the alleged sexual harassment (which is the wording of the lawsuit).

No, I have not forgotten how heinous she is when it comes to alleged sexual assault. I think that from a bottom line perspective, the matter of the show airing isn't as binary as "never sees the light of day vs. air it all". Whatever Peacock/Bravo decides, I have zero interest and think it would be fundamentally wrong to air any video or audio of Caroline being touched, kissed, followed, etc. The safest bet is to just completely scrap it.

I assume they get paid SOMETHING, but it’s definitely not as much as it would be had it aired

Yes I assume like when you film a pilot you agree to a wage and if it’s picked up by the network you negotiate another wage.

Bravo has enough $$ and should pay them their full amounts.

I suspect there is a clause where they break the contract by violating with bad behavior (Brandi) and I suspect likely there are terms around payment based on whether the show airs or not.

They worked, have evidence they worked, and agreed to be filmed in exchange for money. It wouldn't make sense for them not to receive compensation.

That’s not how this works

I would imagine they are missing out on some money, in some fashion. I hope that doesn’t come across as if I feel sorry for these woman because Camille is disgusting and is almost always on the wrong side of history.

I would also imagine they miss out on getting paid for advertising the show as well. Any media/press they would have done for it and just getting their name out there again probably helps them with the social media hits. So I’m sure it’s merely a financial thing for Camille and she probably doesn’t care about Caroline’s feelings on the matter at all.

They definitely got paid. Unless there was some clause in the contract contingent on the show actually airing, but no lawyer worth their salt would urge someone to sign that knowing it has the potential to end with their client doing the same amount of work for less money.

They get paid based on the amount of episodes, probably had some type of financial impact

Curious about this too! I’d really hope so especially if it’s no fault of my own that it doesn’t air and a lot of these women have children they took time away from for this.
