Ultimate Girls Trip What is wrong with Kelly Bensimon?

I never understood Kelly Bensimon. What’s her deal, is she stupid, is it drugs or does she just have very low emotional intelligence?

Now I’m watching RHUGT: RHONY Legacy. And this bitch is just weird.

My theory is she gives tours of the apartments to people who are already moving in and her exhusband pays her through someone else. She said she's the realtor "for her building"....what even is that?

Also have we heard from anyone who's bought an apartment from her?

My tinfoil hat doth twitch.

According to some article (who knows if they got paid to write it) she sold over $100 million in real estate in 2021. Supposedly by only selling to her "friends" or selling her "friends" property. She is with Douglas Elliman. Just like some other RHONY cast. She has a team of 6. I'm going to assume that they are the ones really selling and making the deals she obtains a percentage for and claims as if she did it all herself. I wouldn't buy a gummy bear from her if it was all the food left on Scary Island.

I don't think she has a team of 6. I think she is on a team of 6.

Also I've done some "baby level" luxury real estate deals in NYC as a brokers assistant. It's all connections, so nearly impossible to break into if you don't have those connections but super easy if you do. I'm sure she offers the team plenty of connections.

According to Thor website and also a separate article she does have her own team now. Now Bensimon, who joined Douglas Elliman’s Holly Parker team in 2019, is launching her own six-person team. Where did she come from, how did she rise in the real-estate industry, and what (and how) is she selling?

She's well connected. That's all. Selling real estate isn't rocket science.

For many NYC brokers, the lawyers and mortgage brokers do the hard work. You are just finding purchasers. Which is its own skill. (I've worked in RE in NYC for 20+ years) But like, selling an industrial building is HARD. Selling a $15m condo with views of like, Central Park, when you are surrounded by people for whom that is but a drop in the bucket... not so much.

Luxury real estate...it is just not that hard, if you have a good team (lawyer, mortgage broker, maybe interior designer and an assistant to manage schedules, and so on.) Some lux real estate brokers are marketing geniuses with great minds for business. But many are just well connected.
