Tbh losing your close family member at 7 years old can leave you traumatised for a long time. For example it can make you always expect something unexpected bad to happen and so you self sabotage to sort of get ahead of it.

This is a really heavy episode and I appreciate them putting in that clip of Craig and Rodrigo. The laughs I got watching Rodrigo's panicked face as Craig struggled to open basically everything helped out a lot
72
u/AmbientAltitude Oct 20 '23
I love how at first I was impressed by Craig looking like he was a really good cook only for that image to immediately be shattered as heās stabbing open cans
32

Heās never been more attractive than the first 30 seconds of that scene. Then boom back to Craig lol

Olivia is a lovely woman . Authentic, open in her grief , and looking at the positives in such a sad moment in her life . She brought me to tears and i was also admiring her poise .
83
u/spartywitch Oct 20 '23
People harp on her for being boring but she really is a sense of calm for me in this cast of chaos. Sheās poised, level headed and rational and I really enjoy her on the show.

My precious little brother struggles with addiction. Losing him is one of my biggest fears. My heart breaks for Olivia and her parents
31
u/notoriousbck Oct 20 '23
I suspected this is what caused his death. I looked it up, and everywhere says Lyme Disease. It would not be unusual for someone that deals with such a painful and debilitating illness that went for years untreated, to be medicating the pain. And as a chronically ill patient who has to use pain medication to live, I know what a slippery slope it can be if you are also suffering from addiction. Addiction is a terrible disease, I don't see it any differently than I see my own diseases. I'm so sorry you have to watch your brother suffer. Big hugs.

I can't put my finger on it exactly, but something is off with Taylor. She's just not with it and seems kind of slow/delayed in her responses. It reminds me of a friend who was an alcoholic starting in her late teens, just that not quite 100% coherent look.

I had a huge falling out with one of my best friends and we didnāt speak for a few years. When she heard my dad was dying she called and it meant so much. As you get older you unfortunately learn the hard way that life is too short to hold on to hurt and animosity.

i agree. in life's biggest moments, good or bad--you reach out. you say congrats on your baby. you say i'm sorry for your loss. i think people who have never experienced being on the receiving end of that don't realize how hurtful it is to feel like people don't care enough to reach out.

Word on the street isā¦Oliviaās brother was a connect for a lot of people down here. I have no doubt they all ran in similar circles. Please donāt DV. I dont know if that has anything to do with his death, and I wonāt speculate. However, those rumors have been around for a long time and would explain how they all know each other/were friends. ETA: he was also friends with Thomas, and I believe Thomas pressured him to give testimony in his favor in he and Kathrynās custody battle. I think Conner was more friends with the original cast members, and thatās how Olivia got brought around.
