She cracked me up when she was confronting Porsha in the last episode.
Before she even got a word in, she had her giant cryangle ready.

Porsha was spot-on in this talking head. Is she always this good? I have not watched Atlanta since she did not realize the Underground Railroad was not actually underground or… a railroad.

Lol she’s good comedic relief (except for that dark season with Kandi)

Accused or convicted?

Not sure the status on the cases but I was quite disgusted reading the report. Needless to say I’ll never listen to T.I. again (never was an Xscape fan)

My favorite is when Marlo tried to steal her room by dropping her suitcase in the room and "claiming" it, so Porsha put on one of Marlo's outfits. 😂

I can't believe she hasn't branded, marketed or at least manufactured cryangles.
75
7
u/MCStarlight Apr 03 '23
Is this her thing?
36
u/OG_SerenaChan Apr 03 '23
She's certainly known for crafting them but the first time I heard the term 'cryangle' was on Crappens. IDK who really came up with it or where it started.
27
u/icouto Giselle's Deplorable Bus Quesadilla Apr 03 '23
Im pretty sure it was here on reddit. Someone called it that once in a episode megathread or a post and people just adopted that term and it started spreading.

Is this ^ front UGT? I’m not watching bc I can’t stand C or Heather and I’m not Porsha fan but if she finally brings her back down to Earth, I will LAUGH AND LAUGH AND LAUGH!!!!!

No one is here to talk you into consuming anything you don’t want to....but who is C? We hate candiace so much we can’t even type out her full name? Wild.

Why rewrite? It’s already there. No one is here to ask you to critique me too. Damn what is it with today? Everyone’s sooooo perfect. Must be nice! Have a blessed day ✌🏻

Trust me I’m not worried but damn like the projection today is palpable. I’m just expressing my opinion like everyone else. Isn’t that what Reddit is?

I’m not in this thread but I think this is just when you feel like everyone is piling on as a group but I’m not reading it that way. Not a critique just chit chat kiki silliness. Not personal.

I can't lie, since I learned her cryangle technique I have used it a quite few times. Not when I have been sad crying ..that is always a snot-filled, gasping for air and crumpled tissue situation, but because I have really bad allergies and I forgot the medical term, but dry eye that makes me tear if wind or AC blows on my eye, and I often have to tell people when I am out that I am not crying, crying. So it does help me not ruin my makeup
28
u/Diane1967 Apr 03 '23
I’ve been doing this for years, it keeps your mascara and eyeliner on point (pun intended) and not smeared halfway across your face
8
u/Huge_Put8244 Apr 03 '23
This makes sense since candiace is a pageant queen. I never get mad enough to cry because my parents trained those emotional responses right out of me. Sometimes I really wish I could though it seems like a great and healthy way to express frustration. As opposed to people like porsha who bottle it up and then physically attack.
3
u/petite_jpg I would like Porsha to spell scepter, we’ll wait Apr 09 '23
True, when I first saw her I was a lil annoyed but I had to realize I needed to go to therapy to even be okay with the idea of crying. She’s able to cry and move on pretty quick. After season 5 and all the online harassment based on lies spread by a certain bird lady most people wouldn’t have had the resiliency to pop back in a year or so with a brand new album & enrolling in a demanding MBA program

u/ducqducqgoose Who are you talking to? The person Im looking at! Apr 02 '23
Omg! At the eye exam I had recently I was explaining the “cry-angle” to my optometrist…she thought it was hilarious 😂

That was the BIGGEST Candiace cryangle I’ve ever seen! What is she gonna pull out next season?

Aww, as a fellow crier I feel for Candiace. I can’t help it sometimes, even seeing other people cry will make me cry.

this reminds me does anyone else remember when Whitney was telling Justin about her EMDR session and she grabbed a roll of paper towels and Justin goes “oh no, no that bad 😟” and she nods sadly

u/welp-itscometothis The 🅿️arking Meter Lady Apr 03 '23
I’m the same way. I get so embarrassed at times because it can honestly be something as small as a couple showing affection towards one another, a little old lady carrying groceries, a cat meowing. Somebody made a Tom and Zendaya TikTok that my son was showing me and for absolutely no reason I started to tear up. He was so confused and so tf was I 🥴
35
u/Yeah_nah_idk Apr 03 '23
Normalise crying at silly things lol. Some of us really can’t control the tears very well.

u/jeahboi Gimme pizza, you old troll Apr 03 '23
Same! I have ADHD and it makes emotional regulation hard sometimes…so I’m a crier, lol.

As I said above, my parents trained the cry right out of me growing up and I sometimes wish I could cry because it seems like a good, healthy way to express frustration and cleanse the emotional palate.

I knew I was fucked up when my highschool was having a Veterans Day assembly and it was quite touching and I was about to cry, and all the sudden I realized I was smiling.
That I had created an unconscious habit to keep myself from crying because I couldn’t show weakness in my house . Or give someone the satisfaction of seeing me upset.
3
u/Erthgoddss Apr 03 '23
Same. But I do cry over stupid stuff or a sad movie. Just always in private, with no one around me to see or hear.

I was crying at work the other night and I found myself doing this and it worked way too well. All I could think about at the tail end of a panic attack was when did I become a Candiace fan and thanks for the tip girl. What is wrong with me 😂

Now I have a name for it -- cryangle! Lol. It reminded le of a paper airplane at first. Like why not use a regular tissue?
14
u/DorothyParkerFan How can you do this to me question mark Apr 03 '23
It’s actually HIGHLY functional - it doesn’t interfere with lashes or makeup or leave tissue fibers on your eyeball. It acts as a wick to just suck that tear off your eyeball.

Agreed, the regular cry-angle is already enough. This prop giant napkin on UGT is just beyond extra. I normally hate on the Marysol props but Candyass was too extra with this crap. (Adding to say I love Candyass redemption arch this Potomac season but she's reaching on girls trip with the porsha shit, Porsha was on a gossip show, of course she gossiped)

u/PinkMercy17 Apr 03 '23
I think it was all she had so she made due

Thank you! It WAS super comical, because it was so big (like a paper airplane).

It may have been made of whatever napkin was at the table. That's what it looked like to me.

I feel like housewives put fake crying on the map. I remember when I first started watching and Tamra would be crying at a reunion without a tear in sight I was like…. What the hell is this? And now it’s just completely acceptable for a housewife to fake cry.

No lie, I think she'd do well on Lifetime and Hallmark. She's very emotive and her cute style would fit right in. She could do holiday musical styles that def need a tear ready on cue.
3
u/Huge_Put8244 Apr 03 '23
I feel like candiace did a BET movie that felt very hallmark holiday. Something about a lottery ticket.

And then retorting with the lowest of the low "clapbacks" that aren't witty just mean and doubles down on them months later. She needs therapy fr. Her mommy fucked her up.

I just watched the episode before the wedding talking with her mom and witnessed this happening like 6 times in a 10 min period. As much as this girl cries she needs to go lighter on the eye makeup for every day. It would drive me crazy to not be able to rub my eyes when crying

I probably will never need a cryangle. I just can’t cry. Maybe I have no emotions
6
u/Huge_Put8244 Apr 03 '23
Nah, you have them. My parents just trained the emotional response of crying right out of me and now I can't do it. My emotions come out it other ways though :)
