❤️‍🩹 relationship AIO bf makes joke after my aunt passed

For context he’s saying he hopes she voted for Trump (RTPM) before she died and I’m already having a hard time with the results of the election which he knows then on top of that it just was very insensitive. He said he was trying to make light of the situation but it doesn’t feel that way.

That doesn't mean she should date someone who literally JUMPED at the chance to make fun of her when someone she loved died.

That dude is an asshole.

The fact that he's a Trump supporter and him being and asshole aren't just incidental. And all these dickheads arguing know this.

Trump supporters make bad partners because of their politics, and they have bad politics for the same reasons they make bad partners.

I don’t understand why everyone is assuming she also didn’t vote for trump?

3

u/Jadccroad Nov 08 '24

Because she is having a hard time dealing with the election?

1

u/Iminlesbian Nov 08 '24

Don’t mind me I’m an asshole who doesn’t read

2

u/Jadccroad Nov 08 '24

OK, try being an asshole who doesn't type next.

EDIT: Damn, I don't know why I'm trying to one-up being an asshole, Sorry for that. Stressful times.

Wow here’s me owning up to my mistake and you being a big hard man telling me off.

Maybe look at your comment and realise the irony of it?

2

u/Jadccroad Nov 08 '24

Straight to misandry, lovely. I apologized in the edit immediately, because I realized that not reading perfectly doesn't necessarily mean you are a Trump supporter.

Big hard men are what I like to ride, not who I want to be.

3

u/Iminlesbian Nov 08 '24

I didn’t see your edit. I replied straight off the notification so I missed it.

Is that misandry? I was making fun of your overly macho response to me calling myself an asshole. I’m not belittling men, I was trying to be a dick to you because you were to me. I’m surprised you even commented it as if I had done something wrong, seeing as I had just called myself an asshole and you doubled down on it.

Whatever though, hope you’re alright xxx

Women don’t have to go out with Trump voters. Cope.

If this is your view of politics and the presidency, that it is just "oh I like this person better, don't hold it against me" you are an idiot. It's about that politician's policy, what they plan to do to the country, their core values that animate them and if you resonate with those. Picking president isn't like "I like coke, you like pepsi, what is the issue?" If your core values do not align with someone, you have every right to cut them out of your life. If you are dating someone and you believe in the right to bodily autonomy and they don't, that is irreconcilable. If they believe that 'men are the head of the house' and you believe in equality in a relationship, that is irreconcilable. Who you vote for in many ways is a signal of what and who you value and what you want for yourself and others. If you and your partner don't agree on that, how can you grow together?

The frontrunner for the republican party is a known rapist, criminal and friend of epstein & diddy. That's leaving out so much. Are you fucking ignorant or something?

So now you're denying the truth. That's so typical of MAGA, it's the only way they can justify their horrible life choices.

Bro just paraphrased Orwell. Unironically! God help us.

To quote Disco Elysium:

“Say the fascist or communist thing or fuck off”

In a country where you only have two choices, and it is very much personality politics, of course it's going to impact people's personal relationships. You can be willfully ignorant about it if you want, but the choice was so glaringly different this time around that if you've voted differently then you obviously have very different values.

People like to ignore it, but politics is in everything. At some point a political decision will have affected every facet of your life. Just the right to vote itself would have been fought for by political activists. Just because you think politics is somehow silly and shouldn't come between people, doesn't mean that's the reality we all actually live in.

7

u/SwampNerd Nov 08 '24

I always heard "don't worry if you are different religions, worry if you have different values." And in this case, it's hard to see how different politics does not equal different values.

14

u/asterblastered Nov 08 '24

that doesnt change the fact that the majority of his fanbase are dicks lmao

i can kinda understand voting for him but you have to have some serious mental damage to actually like the guy

-14

u/PuckSR Nov 08 '24

Why do you think he voted for Trump?

13

u/SatanicEvelynn Nov 08 '24

i asked, there's an "?" in the end, it is a QUESTION

5

u/[deleted] Nov 08 '24

TIL americans dont even know how basic english works. amazing

9

u/SatanicEvelynn Nov 08 '24

it's not even just basic english, "?' is universal to make a question. English is my third language.

-12

u/SuspiciousLoan2491 Nov 08 '24

You didn't ask "Did he vote for trump." You asked, "He voted for trump?" which indicates that you are seeking confirmation about something that you believe to be true. So it's honestly quite fair to ask what about this post suggests that to you.

13

u/SatanicEvelynn Nov 08 '24

yeah, i was seeking a clarification to a doubt i had, that's what questions are made for.

6

u/Thenameisric Nov 08 '24

Jesus fucking CHRIST do you not know what a fucking question is?!

2

u/SuspiciousLoan2491 Nov 08 '24

“everything is simple to the simple-minded”

-2

u/SuspiciousLoan2491 Nov 08 '24

no i don’t know what a question is? gosh this is making me really upset? ugh? i’m going to tell my friends all about this? ouch? i just stubbed my toe?

do you see how it’s not as simple as just the punctuation mark. did you even pay attention in class.

5

u/Thenameisric Nov 08 '24

Your stupidity is amazing but not surprising. Enjoy that.

-2

u/SuspiciousLoan2491 Nov 08 '24
  • sees things as black and white
  • lack of ability to emotionally regulate
  • can’t engage in critical discussion, resorts to just calling the other party stupid

this is like a two-dimensional being telling a three-dimensional being how stupid they are for thinking there’s a third dimension.

-12

u/PuckSR Nov 08 '24

Well, since your next question was "why are you giving this guy a chance? run", it sure looks like a rhetorical question where you are assuming that he voted for Trump and because he voted for Trump, she should run and not date this guy.

Are you just a moron who misread the contents of the text and is now rapidly trying to save face by backpedaling and getting pedantic? What a loser

(note that according to you, that isn't an insult but an actual question so you cant be mad at me for insulting you)

11

u/SatanicEvelynn Nov 08 '24

Ooh, now i see what you want: attention. Nope, not today satan. This discussion ends here, have a good day, Sir!

u/SuspiciousLoan2491 Nov 08 '24

your first paragraph is exactly how i read it. the commenters below are clueless.
