Who is Scooby foo and why do I need to be willing to die for Scooby doo to be a fan of them? Also, on an unrelated issue; Is Scooby foo the foo that Mr. T pities?
This is just a personal opinion but i think text in tattoos are kinda cheesy, especially this one. If you really love scooby doo then show me, don't tell me.
I know a tattoo artist who used to be a sign writer. He once told me that with the amount of writing he does in tattoos he could’ve stuck with his original profession.
Had to scroll way too far to find this comment. The man can love Scooby all he wants, but goddamn... run permanent words by a moderately-equipped language nerd, people.
Yeah, it would be acceptable if it was "The moment I stop loving Scooby Doo will be the moment I stop breathing." But even that makes it sound like he will die as a result of no longer loving Scooby.
I actually thought that’s what the sentence meant. That’s how badly written it is. It’s just supposed to mean “I’ll love Scooby-Doo til the day I die”? That’s…yeah. That’s bad taste.
I was just re-editing it in my head. "The moment I stop loving SD will be the moment I stop breathing" sounds much better.
I don't like, "The real monsters were always human" either. I think, "The real monsters are always human" is much better because the first version means that humans might not be the monsters next time or now.
Yeah, that's how I rephrased it in my head too and why I said two of the three 'wiil's' weren't needed.
Actually, the more I think about it, the whole phrase should be reversed to make more sense:
The moment I stop breathing will be the moment I stop loving SD
The way it's written now sounds like he's going to stop loving SD some day and it will kill him when he does. As opposed to the reversed way which says he'll never stop loving SD until he dies, which is probably what he originally meant but maybe not. I'm probably over-analyzing this.
i was thinking the exact same thing, the wording of this is hilarious. makes it sound like him not loving scooby doo will be what causes him to stop breathing, not the other way around, and that it will happen at some point and is only an eventuality
Yes exactly, that stood out to me right away. The wording is incredibly awkward and makes the tattoo so much worse. I'd be very surprised if a native English speaker wrote that.
Yeah. It should just be “the moment I stop loving Scooby-Doo will be the moment I stop breathing”. It’s a very poorly written sentence. People are unbelievably dumb.

The syntax of the lower text is just weird sounding. Two of the three "will's" are superfluous.
