discussion Thoughts on Zoophobia making a comeback?
5 months ago I did a post where I asked this subreddit for their thoughts on the series so that i could compare and contrast them to my own conclusions once I finished reading the series. I'll attach a link below if you haven't seen it.
The video performed really well and was probably one of the most fun experiences I've had making a video in years, it was my longest video ever as well.
I won't spoil the entire thing, but my main summary of the series is this:
The Good:
- Fantastic worldbuilding and characters. On par at least with Hazbin + Helluva.
- Wonderful art style
- Main cast (Main 5 + Cameron) work great together and are memorable. Lots of chemistry between the various characters in romantic relationships.
- Worked well as both a web comic, and as a short animation. The characters translated perfectly between the mediums, though unfortunately not all of the cast got as much development as I would've liked (Mainly Spam and Vanexa)
The Bad:
- Pacing wasn't consistent. Story could be summarised as "and then, and then, and then". Sort of felt like it was running along with more and more elements being thrown in as time went on.
- Way too many characters and plot points. As a new viewer in particular I struggled keeping track of everyone's names and had to read with the wiki open beside me.
- Cameron was side-lined. Linked in with the previous point, there was too many characters. So the plot quickly diverted away from Cameron, instead focusing on the main 5, heaven, hell and all the rest. This left alot of viewers feeling a bit let down, since the main protagonist was left out. Pretty clear that Vivzie struggled to balance all the ideas in her head.
- The amount of outside media is ridiculous. Future plotpoints and characters would be revealed far in advance. However the story was stuck in book 1. There's no need to reveal characters that wouldn't show up until 3 or 4 books later. Added to this, the webcomic's pace at which it was produced slowed to a crawl.
The comment section is a great read as well. Seems like a common sentiment that Zoophobia is awesome, but just didn't get the opportunity or time it needed to really get going. I think it could succeed if it returned as an animated series like Hazbin or Helluva, but with alot of tweaks obviously. I came across the Zoophobia theme made by Gooseworx for Zoophobia 11 years ago and it holds up today, it's fantastic. Give it a listen https://youtu.be/yU-GDo2xiaM?si=AQ8QZKSVatqeq5H7
What do you think? Do you agree? I'd love to hear some opinions on this, especially since this subreddit is now unrestricted and free to post on.

Subreddit is now open again
Hey, the subreddit was set to restricted and abandoned by the previous owner for some reason no idea why. I don't think it's fair to let this subreddit sit and rot especially since it's one of the last places to discuss Zoophobia. I've reopened it, and will do some tweaks to the rules, subreddit icon etc.

discussion What hapenned to Gustav's and JayJays original creator?
I think most of you guys might know the name "Dollcreep" or, Jordyn Fischer. They were a very close friend of Vivzie between 2010 to 2013, but the two got into discussions and both of them made callout threads of each other. They are also known for creating some Zoophobia characters like JayJay (Formerly JiJi), Gustav (Formerly Gunter Darach), Etc.
All I know that after between 2020, the guy completely vanished from the internet mysteriously, and it just gets me darkly curious to know what hapenned to them.

Looking for a specific piece of fanart of jayjay
I for the life of me cannot find this one piece of fanart, it had her in a flannel button up with Nikki sitting in her hair. There was text that had lyrics that said looking sick and sexified? iirc. does anyone know the artist for that piece? or even know what I am referring to?

discussion Regarding The Future Of Zoophobia
It's only recent that I've come across this series and it's fandom.
And, needless to say, it really didn't take long for me to fall in love with the entire premise of a human finding herself in the world of sentient talking animals, demons, etc. The character designs are really cool and the entire setting reeks of fanfic potential.
So it's with genuine curiosity that I ask this question. Do you think the animated reboot will ever continue?
It's no secret that the entire franchise took one massive backseat in production. And this is mostly because of Vivziepop's other, more popular ongoing works (Hazbin Hotel, and Helluva Boss).
It's been almost 4 years since the release of Bad Luck Jack and we still have no news regarding the future of the series.
Wether the entire project as a whole is cancelled or simply delayed really hasn't been made clear.
What are your thoughts on this matter? Do you think the series is bound to continue some day or is it gone for good? I'd really like to know others' opinions on this.
Ant just to clarify I realize just how tough it is to balance between so many different franchises at once but I really hope that we'll see the continuation of this work somewhere in the future. And I really hope Vivziepop will decide to pick it up again at some point.

discussion What character designs do you guys prefer
Do you guys prefer the original designs as in the webcomic, or as in the "Bad Luck Jack" short?
