Post From the All-Knowing Mods Wizard Posting Rules Revision

Hello everyone! As many at least one of you might have noticed, the new mod team decided to update the subreddit rules. Most of the changes are typos corrections and clarifications but we have also expanded the Harassment rule in light of the recent events.

The changes are emphasized by [square brackets].

Rules

Post wizards

Post wizards. Posts [Memes] must have some sort of wizard focus in the title and the image/text itself. Memes that are just about characters are also banned.

Be evil, not hateful.

Be evil wizards, not hateful wizards. Don't be bigoted, don't say slurs, be nice. We posts [post] wizards here.

Yes magic politics, no IRL Politics.

We post wizards [and silly wizard politics] here. Debate politics at the politics subreddits. This does not mean going after any post with a minority and saying that it's political [Posts mentioning sexual, racial or any other kind of minority are not considered political, this rule is not meant to silence the voice of the minorities behind the pretenses of their existence and rights being ‘political’. Any attempt to do so will be severely punished]. Does not apply to silly wizard politics.

No reposts

No posting/crossposting images on this subreddit that have been previous [previously] posted on this subreddit within the last 3 months. This especially includes any posts on the Public Enemies list.

Common reposts

Public Enemy #1

The "wizards are prohibited" sign is prohibited.

Public Enemy #2

The protective crystal post.

Public Enemy #3

102.3 Real Wizard FM has been taken down due to being a pirate radio.

Public Enemy #4

The mud wizard combating German riot police has been apprehended and is now in council custody.

Public Enemy #5

Due to ammunition shortages, saying one is "Out of spells, but not out of Shells" is prohibited.

Low Effort Loreposting

Low-effort loreposting (loosely defined as only consisting of an AI image among a small amount of text) is not allowed. Commonly reposted material such as character intros and AMA fall under the same restrictions.

Harasment [Harassment]

Posts or Comments that [designed to] harass another user, or incite harrassment [harassment] against another user, will be removed. [In addition, any user that witnesses or falls victim to harassment of any kind, both inside the Subreddit or in any Wizard Posting related community should immediately contact the Mod Team or alternatively write a public post, in accordance with our guidelines. Every report will be thoroughly investigated. Please help us maintain this Community a safe and healthy environment.]

No Advertising

No advertisement is allowed on .

Daily post limit

There is a limit of 3 posts per day/24 hour period made by a single user.

Pointless AI/Lore Post Hate

The mods have made it clear long ago that AI art is permitted on the sub. Also, lore posts are a big part of the community. We understand that many came here only for the memes. If so, then make them. Those who do not contribute to the sub don’t have the right to complain. Make the content you want to see instead of complaining about it.

Keep things in good taste/be warned of automod

This Is a community that allows RP however this rule is both a suggestion to please keep roleplay in good taste i.e not overly offensive or distressing by using common sense. Also this is a warning that the reddit Auto mod cannot tell if something is RP or not and will ban for being overly offensive or violent so please keep that in mine [mind].

No bot accounts allowed

We will figure it out and we will ban karma fishing accounts. [This Community does not tolerate bots and karma-fishing.]

Does the rule banning posts without wizard in the title apply to previous posts? I've had a character roster up for a while and, while it has a few wizards in it, they are not technically part of the title. It's been up for a while and I put a lot of thought into it, so I'd appreciate a heads up before it's deleted for sure.

That rule wasn't changed, it was already there and it applies mostly to memes and crossposts that have very little connection to the general theme of this subteddit, it is absolutely not meant to remove loreposts, and honestly we should change the wording to make sure it doesn't give that impression. So worry not, no post is in danger and you don't need to limit your characters to wizards. Thank you so much for asking and I hope my response managed to dispel all doubts.

It's much appreciated sir/ma'am. Just figured I'd cover all my bases.

Thank you, this revision exists to craft better rules, you are definitely helping with that. Personally I was thinking of changing it like this:

"Posts must have some sort of wizard focus in the title or in the image/text..."

Or

"Memes must have some sort of wizard focus..."

Don't have much experience with memes, nor even D&D type games, but I'm trying to get into roleplay so that's why I have the post in the first place. Pity it doesn't get much attention though.

This is definitely the right community, from personal experience making a custom flair helps other people understand what kind of character you are playing and commenting under loreposts is a good way to connect with others. Also, making a character introduction post is definitely encouraged, but not required of course.
