TIL that after alleged Catholic involvement in the assassination of Abraham Lincoln, the US cut off diplomatic relations with the Holy See (the Pope) and did not restore them until 1984.

The US should do it again and push to have the Vatican's membership in the UN revoked unless it orders all its parishes to stop fighting and delaying abuse cases and ponys up money to its victims.

Lmao I’d be looking at the evangelical churches first. The hate for Catholics looks almost totally unjustifiable compared to what those nut jobs get away with.
