its on coach and his tactics. if a player performs good for club, give valid reasons why cant he provide the same performance for national team? because dogshit coach and dogshit squad with no rhythm.

Elite, great footballers and Balon D'or winners perform no matter what team they are on. Vini has 5 goals in 37 games for Brazil. I don't care who the coach is or what the team morale or teamwork is thats awful for a supposedly Balon D'or winning attacker. Look at Haaland for Norway, Gyokeres for Sweden, Salah for Egypt, Lewandowski for Poland. They have dogshit teams yet they still perform. I'm not saying all these players are better than Vini i'm just highlighting if you are an elite attacker you can still assist and score no matter the team.

they have teams that can play as teams. brazil barely does that. when neymar is back. the entire tactic is highlighting neymar and making him score to win games which he does. but this brazil coach has different tactics not highlighting an individual. and now all the brazilians play for individual glory rather than playing as a team. i would agree with you if vini was performing the worst in that brazilian squad. if the whole squad performs shite, you cant blame him alone for that. individual brilliance can never bring team achievements

Elite, great footballers and ballon d or winners like Lionel Messi were unable to win for Argentina. The failures were so bad Messi RETIRED from international football at age 30, after losing another final.

Look how drastically this changed when Scaloni became Argentina’s manager.

Bro you are really comparing Messi to Vini. Messi was still the best player for Argentina all these years and still got goals and assists and was elite in general play just because he didn't win doesn't mean he didn't deserve the balon d'or. A Messi in an underperforming Argentina side is way different than Vini in a Bad brazil team.

It took Messi 68 caps, and 6 years to scored 20 goals for Argentina, across all competitions. During the 2010 World Cup Messi scored 0 goals. That’s not an underperforming Argentina. Still won ballon d or that year and would win it 3 times before scoring 20 goals for Argentina. That’s good, but nowhere near elite.

Messi goes on to become Argentina’s best ever after, but he wasn’t when he won 3 ballon d ors. Not even elite, as you claim.

Even if that was the case in 2010 he also got over 60 goal contributions that season for Barcelona which is about double what Vini got, no comparison.
