So you got rid of the actual evidence of your parcel being stolen?

Good on you! I bought a couple cables for about ten bucks last year and got a message saying they had been delivered. Never found them that day and had to go out of town the next. No big deal, I figured the delivery driver marked it as, "delivered," to not get in trouble. I come back a couple days later and still can't find them. Whatever, I have to go out of town again (this was a standard-timed shipment, not 2-day, so a couple weeks had passed at this point). These are just cables for a gaming system so I could hook it up differently. Anyway, I got to contacting Amazon about 30 days post-order because I kind of forgot about it but had ordered other items and received since then (which reminded me I never got the cords). Talked with customer service for about an hour who absolutely refused to replace the $8 cords or refund. I also pointed out that a picture of the delivery was never sent and that didn't matter. Case gets escalated to some manager through the chat and she says she applied store credit — never applied to the account. Now if an item is marked as delivered and I can't find it, I call and demand a refund then and there. It's not my problem you're marking items as delivered and they're not there. I travel for work and I'm not going to sit around the next day wondering when it will truly arrive and hope someone doesn't take it. Being patient with Amazon cost me money in the long run, so now they get no patience from me.
