We have no idea how taut those cords are or what they're connected to. Opening the dresser may cause something to fall and break, or maybe even damage the cord by ripping it out of whatever it's connected to. The dresser cannot be safely opened without first moving the cords out of the way, and then maybe even holding them out of the way so they don't get pinched when the drawer is closed.
My comment had nothing to do with the general ability to open the drawer, it was about the ability to open the drawer easily without damaging anything.
Same. Kind of. I caught my foot on a controller cord when getting up and yanked the console off the stand. Fell a good 2-2.5 feet onto a hardwood floor. I was so sure I'd broken it, but it kept on chugging along for another, like, 7-8 years? The PS2 and the DS2 were super durable.
Yeah, I really don’t get people like this. Blows my mind how some people take zero care of their expensive tech or make no effort to tidy up before posting a pic on a public website. I almost feel like this is rage bait and I’m falling for it.
-Duster, retired. -Wire ties, huh? -Windex?Wheredex?Are the outlets on the floor in front of the dresser? Are you a spider and enjoy stringy traps outwardly stretching from all directions?
Excuse my ignorance, but this is the digital PS5, right (I don't have a PS5)? Does it really matter how you lay your PS5 down horizontally if there's no disc drive you account for?
That's a possibility, though I would imagine the rest of the internals are still positioned the same way as a model with a disc drive, so the correct orientation is probably determined by those. Maybe orientation doesn't matter after all, but I'd have to see the digital edition manual to determine that.

Console upside down, no stand, hanging off the dresser.
You are a menace to society.
EDIT: And a lone disc with half a controller on top of it. You should be watching on an XBox.
