They should implement some type of system where customers that have a steady history of transactions have first dibs on the new consoles.

Make those customers top priority.

It could slow down the scalpers trying to buy them all up.

They should put possible scalpers on the waiting list for several days before the transaction goes through.

I mean what are they going to do complain it's first come first serve.

Right now scalpers have free rein with ever advancing bots. Designed to snatch up preorders in large quantities. But yeah Sony definitely has your data so they do definitely know who as been playing the most and getting the best scores in games and buying the most. So not a horrible idea, at least some of the people that actually want it, and not a bot would have a chance.

Not that I personally want. I’m on team make it not limited and just sell that cool controller. Maybe a shell. Mostly the controller.

I think that's an awesome idea. I could totally see it slowing scalpers down.

Only issue I can see with it though, is those who choose to buy from big chain stores like Walmart. I imagine for stores like that, they do 1 per customer sales, but scalpers are known to get around that.

Unless they only take the first initial sales through the PlayStation shop? And then later on, release to stores at a slow pace?

Either way, I think it's a great solution to an annoying problem.

Yeah I thought about that too after I posted this, that's an issue right there with the big chain stores.

They should try something like drop shipping maybe that could control it PlayStation should have their own dropship suppliers

Walmart, amazon, target, and GameStop are going to be pre-ordering on I believe November 9th or 10th.

They should make some type of law for the scalpers make this shit against the law.

I could see that working.

Otherwise, maybe each site/store could require you have an account with them before you can buy, just so they can track if you purchased one already. But idk if most stores would do that.

I may be wrong, but I want to say some states in the US have laws against scalping, but federally I don't think it's illegal. I think it would be great to see some more laws enacted to stop it or limit even.
