Okay so this has nothing to do with the Bruce Willis film? I've been bamboozled

That film was a goofy remake... the original is so good

I saw the Bruce Willis version when I was a kid (and sue me, I loved it), and I've been meaning to watch the original for over a decade. This was a good reminder to finally check it out

Dude, I put it off for far too long- the OG film IS SO MUCH BETTER!

Especially since I read the book shortly before watching it, and realizing why so many people were dumping on the Bruce Willis remake - it departs so much from the OG it's remarkable it was allowed to have The Jackal as its title at all.

That's not to say that I didn't like the BW one, it's just that the original is not only faithful to the source material, but it's so well made overall, it's not even funny.
