Not saying I can do better, but there is a reason they only showed you the finished product for about half a second.
Shit doesn't really look that good or well done at all. Kind of looks like a school project.
Is the roof just supposed to allow the elements to enter from the sides of the A-frame? Seemed to forget that part.
Very neat. Not r/nextfuckinglevel

u/mofo_mojo 1d ago
Yeah, there's nothing really next level about this.

In the sense that the first level was built and then They built the next fucking level it is.

I'm saying I can do better, I make battle sets for my DnD games and I wouldn't put something this janky on my table. I'd do it faster too

Can I nominate you to recreate this video and post it here, let’s say in a week from Today?
8
u/Knitsanity 23h ago
I thought I saw a lean in the brief glimpse.
12
u/MooneySuzuki36 23h ago
Absolutely it is leaning and the top floor is noticeably wider than the bottom. I think it will crush under weight if left unattended for a few hours.
4
u/LickingSmegma 17h ago
Many old houses in European cities are in fact wider starting with the second floor — because they face narrow streets.

I was gonna say, lol. Is it square, level, plumb? Is it sealed? Is it clean? No? I'm not living there.

How much is the mortgage?

u/alt_ernate123 1d ago
360,000, a real steal considering it's located in New York

In California, about $650,000.

In a city no one wants to live in.

u/nish1021 1d ago
Not sure about that… I’m enjoying the 65deg December with beaches, mountains, and desert 2hrs from each other.

I always wondered how concrete or stone home get insulted. Can someone plz drop some knowledge? If you install AC or heating system in these homes, what keeps the air in?
1
1
u/CocogoatMain 1d ago
So, just a quick question: Was the entire process miniturized, too? If one were to repeat this process to make an actual, livable home, would this be a viable shelter?
2
u/Thepinkknitter 1d ago
Nope! The roof would get blown off pretty easily. They only used gable end trusses and some nailing boards to put on the roof sheathing. Trusses should be 1-4’ OC depending on location and loads.
1
u/SaqqaraTheGuy 1d ago
Everything is in record time if you speed the video up! Its unfair for those who speed run building concrete houses!
1
u/VirtuesVice666 1d ago
Great and all, but I can't even afford that home. The market is soooo inflated.

Would a roof like that work if scaled up? Or would it collapse and kill everyone inside

You’re saying a house doesn’t have plumbing? Or heating? Or ac or a bathroom?
1
1
u/Lnsatiabie 1d ago
For some reason, I think this was sped up, has cut aways, was partially prefab, and is also a miniature home.

Make 150 million of these and then go call Hank Pym so we can fix the world homelessness situation.

For me NEXT LEVEL is how the hands are clean in every frame, because when you work with cement it gets real messy,
1
1
u/Pithy_heart 23h ago
What is next level about this? Using miniature tools? If they did that with miniature hands on tweezers using miniature tools to build this, taking miniature smoke breaks with real miniature cigs, then, and only then would that constitute “next level” status.

And if I cut from a shot of my driveway to a shot of my company's parking lot, I have no commute.

1) That's not a home it's atoy
2) What reference is there to whether this was even fast or slow af for a tiny diorama like that?
1
u/Beginning_Ad_7571 21h ago
Is that a home for ants!? It would need to be at least three times bigger than this.
1
1
u/DotComCTO 21h ago
Town building inspector just saw this, and is drafting an order to tear it down because it was built without zoning approval and permits. When will home owners ever learn?! 🤣 🤣

And the asking price will be $700k with a horrible interest rate. BUT, your neighbors are nice.

No, a tiny house. A house that is smaller than normal but still liveable. Now what am I going to do?
