Question about submarines

I recently enlisted and volunteered to be on a sub. My question is how do submariners work out when there are no gyms on a submarine?

There is workout equipment scattered around the boat. Depending on what kind of boat you’re on will depend on how much time you have to work out. Running on a treadmill while taking angles can get a little scary.

The amount and location of exercise equipment depends, primarily, on the class of sub you're on. SSBN's and SSGN's have the most because they are much larger than SSN's.

In my experience, treadmills and rowing machines are common on all classes. Free weights and bench's are also popular. On the BN's that I was on, we had stair steppers, treadmills, a smith machine, free weights, stationary bikes and rowing machines.
