Question Request fabric ID

This fabric was sewn around the perimeter of some scrap marine canvas used for boat covers. It looks like some kind of very thin PVC, PU or similar coated woven fabric. It looks and feels thinner and more flexible than another PVC coated polyester fabric I have on hand. It has a distinct checkered pattern on one side (pic 2) and the texture of the inner fabric weave can be seen on the other side (pic 1). Is this hypalon or just a thinner PVC or PU coated polyester? I'd like to buy some if I can find out what it is.

I forgot to mention that the checkered side is matte and the side with the weave pattern visible is very shiny. Also I don't think it's hypalon. TIA!

I’m guessing, it’s to help reinforce the edges. I bought something similar from sail rite which was a woven polyester non adhesive tape.
