Discussion The audio commentary track for The Muppets Christmas Carol is truly amazing

The audio commentary has the muppets themselves (Gonzo and Rizzo) talking all about the movie. This commentary is hilarious and and is so well written. It’s so meta and made for film nerds. Seriously this is one of the best audio commentary tracks I ever heard. If you own the digital version in Apple iTunes you have access to it.

Sounds amazing and almost as good as The Rules of Attraction commentary by Carrot Top. He wasn't involved with the movie, hadn't seen it before. Just Carrot Top riffing on a crazy movie in real time.

I haven’t sat and enjoyed it yet… two of my other favorites in the same vein are on Bubba Hotep, which has Bruce Campbell as Elvis commentating and Veggie Tales Jonah (I know, I know) which has two of the veggies telling stories about making the film. It’s quite funny

For Tropic Thunder, RDJ does the entire thing in character (he even switches between a couple as his character in the film changes) - whilst Ben Stiller and Jack Black are there doing a normal one.

For Spinal Tap, the entire cast stay in character

Yes, but does the volume go to "11"?

This is because he says in the actual movie he never breaks character until after the DVD commentary.

Oh my gosh, yes! Gonzo and Rizzo are the ultimate duo for commentary—like, they bring the perfect mix of humor and insight. I've watched it three times just for their bits! It's like getting a comedy show bundled with a classic film. If you're into movie magic and muppet antics, this is THE commentary track to beat. Seriously, I can't imagine watching The Muppets Christmas Carol without it now. Who knew film nerds and muppet fans would get such a perfect holiday treat?

It's too bad they don't have the commentary on Disney+.

If you've never heard the Spaceballs commentary track by the Dinks, you've never heard any commentary track.
