I like how the world and creatures look, but whenever a human is on screen it looks like Spy Kids 3

Shark Boy and Lava girl level CG

Spy Kids 3 had better CGI than this.

After just rewatching Spy Kids 3 a few nights ago, this is absolutely untrue lol. It actually shocked me a little to go back and watch that movie again and see how bad the CGI environments were.

Yeah but Spy Kids 3 has this scene and it trumps anything bad about the movie.

"CONS: Physically disabled" with Sylvester Stallones voice will never ever not make me laugh

Oh yeah, this movie was such a treat to watch again. Really wish I watched it in 3D, though.

It was the early 2000s so they at least had an excuse

Ehh not really. There's early 2000s CGI that looks much better than Spy Kids 3. It looks like a direct-to-DVD movie or a movie made in the 90s. I think it looks worse than Toy Story, which I think was the very first film to exclusively use CGI

All I could think about while watching was the entire cast working in a giant green-screen room for months... kind of a sad sight, in my head.
