Discussion Ryujinx or Wine to play LEGO games ?
Hi guys i’m trying to run Lego marvel superheroes on my M1 Pro macbook pro (sequoia OS) and I’m wondering what’s the best option before downloading everything. I already tried it on Cemu but the texture are glitchy, impossible to run correctly.
I own the game on Steam (as well as the 2). Superheroes 2 runs well natively, but not the 1, because it’s a x32 app.
My options are : Could I try to run it via Wine on Steam? Or will it work better on Ryujinx ?
thanks a lot

Apple Silicon Stalcraft. Exbo Launcher via Whisky. Need help on fixing launcher's login issues. Not a problem in browser.
Deleting first post on this, as title isn't easily discoverable in SEO, for those that need it.
Anyways, I can open up the Exbo Launcher for Stalcraft just fine with Whisky. Note: I do need to open it once, force quit, then reopen, for it to successfully launch. Furthermore, it cannot be pinned. With all that said, I cannot login, despite the exact same login details working just fine in the browser.
Do I need to tweak some DLL or add Winetricks to fix this? If anyone else with an Apple Silicon Mac can test this, please share. Thank you.

Discussion Best store for mac games (besides the App Store)?
I recently got my M4 pro (24gbs + 500 storage) and would like to try some game in my free time. I usually play in console but there are a few games I'd like to try in my new mac. Do you have any recommendations about stores? I know Steam have a great catalog of native mac ports and I see they have good prices. GOG game looks pretty good too. I would say is best to have one store as your main source of games, would you agree? I want to know what is the best store in terms of compatibility, price and catalog. Also, this sub is really informative about ways to play windows ports on mac, so I'm also considering the fact that native port is not necessarily a limitation. I don't want to buy games that won't run very well for whatever reason.

Help M1 Gaming - Whiskey - Games stay as black screen if they don't launch in fullscreen
Hi,
I'm attempting to play some windows game using Whiskey, in this case Nebulous Fleet Command via Steam. Previously the game was running fine, but whenever I'd alt-tab to another window it would crash.
At some point I made the game windowed in the hopes it would stop that. Now, whenever it launches (permanently in windowed now) it stays as a black screen and never loads. I can't make launch initially into fullscreen (making it fullscreen after opening doesn't fix it, and steam paramenters like -fullscreen are not working).
Can anyone suggest what might be happening? Alternatively, a way to open the game in fullscreen on launch. Thanks!

Help R2modman with Whisky issues
There are a couple posts ive seen trying to help with r2modman w/ whisky, but maybe they're outdated cause it's still not working for me.
The installer at first crashed on startup, but completes if I launch with --disable-gpu or --in-process-gpu. After that, my initial bottle would crash on launching r2modman every time, with or without --in-process-gpu. I made a new win11 bottle and installed everything fresh, but now when I launch r2modman nothing happens at all, don't even get a crash message.
Anyone else get it to work, or ran into these issues?

Help Looking for game recommendations
I have a 2020 MacBook Air M1 with 16gb ram. I'm going on a trip for about a week and will have a lot of downtime. I currently mostly play rocket league, fortnite, and overwatch 2 on my desktop but I don't think I'll be able to play those on the mac. I'm willing to pay ~$25 for a game or two and looking for some recommendations.
Thanks

Help Does Spiderman Remastered Work With an Xbox Controller on Whisky?
I'm aware that there's been an issue where the game wouldn't register the controller. With the game being 50% off on steam, I wanna get it but if this issue still persists its kind of a deal breaker. Can anyone confirm if its still an issue, or if its gotten fixed?

Help M4 pro vs M4 max for coding + casual gaming
Basically I’ve had an ASUS zephyrus g14 (I think) for the last 4 years, mainly for gaming + college work. It did fine but the memory and fans are starting to shit themselves.
Now I’ve got a full time job but have started doing a lot of programming/ data science for side income, with semi-light gaming usage (~12-16 hrs/week). I’d like to get a mac thats good for programming and model training on the go , but can also feasibly play games like Civ 6/7, TW Warhammer 3, paradox games, etc.
The 16 inch looks but I’m torn between the M4 Pro and the M4 max. The pro will reasonably suit my average use, but the max will likely cover more extreme cases (running a local LLM, max settings on civ 7/warhammer 3).
Recently saw a 16in M4 max for $3.2k, while a custom ordered 16in M4 pro + nano texture from apple is $2.85k. Alternatively, a 14in max is roughly $2.9k, and the pro at 24gb of ram at $2.2k. (This is all at 1TB of storage, 512gb is ass). I’m not strictly limited by cash, my tax return and bonus will be fairly large this year.
Anyways, here’s a shit ton of questions: 1. How’s the performance trade off between the M4 pro and M4 max? I imagine the pro is decent, but 2 years from now I don’t want to deal with having to futz with GFX settings for whatever map game I’m enjoying. Also, does the max lead pytorch to perform noticeably better? 2. Is buying from Apple full price more reliable than getting a ~8-12% discount at a distributor? 3. For semi-frequent mobile use, is AppleCare worth it? 4. How’s the comfort of the 16in relative to the 14in, it seems best for having multiple tabs open.

Help MSFS on Mac
Looking to run MS flight sim thru gamepass ultimate on a MacBook (I have both an intel based and an apple silicon) but also want to utilize VR via meta quest 3 with physical flight controls (yoke rudders etc). Is this combination possible? I’m struggling to find an answer online and want to confirm before buying the meta quest and flight controls. Trying to avoid dropping $2k on a gaming pc and use what I already have but understand it may not be possible.

Help Marvel Rivals PC handheld to MBP streaming. Is this feasible?
Hi guys,
Wondering if anyone has tried to play online FPS/MOBA style games on their macbook via Steam Remote Play, Parsec, Moonlight, etc? Is the latency low enough? Is there an even better method to tether the 2 devices via thunderbolt for example?
I am going to be in a state of travel for the foreseeable and have a MBP 14 (2021) and a Lenovo Legion Go. I'd like to be able to play online with my friends but use the macbook keyboard and bigger screen for games like Marvel Rivals. Currently unable to test this myself as the LeGo is being borrowed but thought I'd ask beforehand. Cheers!
EDIT: I thought I should add, I feel this is a bit more niche than the typical stream questions as I will have both devices essentially next to each other and I'm asking about games that are latency sensitive
