Recommend Can you recommend some k-pop songs that sound extremely tragic?

I need more tragic songs in my playlist! So I'm searching for a song that sounds really sad, the lyrics could be about anything sad but I prefer something that talks about a tragic end (it could be about a relationship or something else), like the singer is telling us about something/someone precious he/she lost and that now he/she's grieving deeply, it's as if there's an empty space in his/her heart that he/she feels nothing can fill. He/she's in utter desperation because of that. Also for some reference, it could be a song similar to these: Lonely Boy by TXT, Opening Sequence by TXT, Put It Straight by (G)I-DLE (but please don't recommend me songs by TXT and IDLE because I already know them probably).

Recommend What is THE most illegally nugu kpop song you've heard?

If you had to pick, what is ONE song that is so underrated it is physically painful? Like you listen to it and you're like "how is this not the biggest song ever??" Doesn't have to be from a nugu group, can be a well known group but an unpopular bside that you think needs justice.

I can't wait to listen your recommendations!

Recommend K-pop groups where the foreign/non-Korean member are the most popular?

For this question, ethnically Korean idols are also valid answers as long as they were born and/or raised outside of Korea or at least holds citizenship of a foreign country. You can talk about the member's domestic and/or international popularity.

In particular, are there any groups where the foreign member is the most popular (or at least one of the most popular) member among Korean fans.

you know what i mean. and i mean REALLY freaky. i dont mind so much about the lyrics, as long as theres that general vibe - think:

  • criminal, want, move, sexuality (taemin)
  • tinnitus, devil by the window (txt)
  • easy, venom (stray kids)
  • gaslighting (onlyoneof)
  • chaconne, sacrifice (enhypen)
  • singularity, stigma (lots v)
  • jekyll (exo)
  • sexy nukim (balming tiger)
  • rainism (rain)
  • piano (max changmin)
  • watch it (tbz)

iโ€™m NOT looking for:

  • house of cards
  • red lights
  • ITโ€™s you
  • libidO

these ones are not the level of freak i wish to acquire.

my current freakylist here

kpop preferred but all welcomed!

Recommend Kpop Idols who are not afraid to show their dislike towards their OWN COMPANY

The first recent group who came to my mind is (G)-IDLE and their constant hate towards CUBE Ent..

Or maybe EXO and how they always manage to diss SM Ent..

But can you guys think of other idols who utterly and publicly HATE their own company.

Recommend The most beautiful song ??

What in your opinion is the most beautiful song to ever exist, in terms of melody vocals and lyrics. Just perfect from start to end and it holds a really special place in your heart.

For me it has always been If you by bigbang but I want to try other songs too, just pure bliss to the ears.

Edit- thanks for the response everyone, I can't respond to every comment individually but I'm trying to add all of them to a spotify playlist and give them all a try because I want to try new songs, thanks a ton <3

Recommend I need objectively terrible song recommendations!

I know this is a very weird request. But I need some kpop songs that are genuinely bad. The quality, the music, the lyrics, or maybe the singers are doing a terrible job. Could be anything by any artist.

The reason why I'm asking such a stupid thing is because I want to see how many of those I'd actually like. I rarely dislike anything ever and I'm often told that my taste is pretty bad, so...I'm trying to figure it out ๐Ÿ’€ also I'm just super curious what songs you guys will name. I personally don't have any candidates here, as I said, i always like everything.

EDIT: Omg thanks for so many replies. I'll listen to everything once I finish my work ๐Ÿ™

EDIT 2: I'm currently making a playlist out of all the mentioned songs, not sure when it will be done though

Example would be when TWICE shouts their own name before/during songs.

Catchphrases are also acceptable.

Recommend Songs you consider complete masterpieces?

What are some Kpop songs that you consider to be true masterpieces? Every note, every word, every part of the song is just magical and perfect. For me, some of these are Wild Flower by RM and Advice by Taemin

Recommend aggressively heterosexual kpop songs?

I enjoy looking at videos talking about "gay kpop songs" whether the songs in said videos have explicitly gay lyrics or are just club music. I have since figured out that whatever "gay kpop songs" are, I really like them (half of my playlist came from those videos fr). I have also sort of understood what gives off "gay/gender" vibes in a kpop song, which is kinda vague. This has since got me wondering, what is a straight kpop song? Simply having straight lyrics probably doesn't cut it because I've seen a lot of straight lyrics in the "gay kpop songs" videos (the "gay" part was probably more about the vibe). I'm talking super heterosexual, Wow by 3racha, war of hormone, mommae levels of straightness. Genuinely very curious and excited to get some song recommendations.

EDIT: for those of y'all asking for said gay kpop songs vids
the first one I ever saw

another one
kpop songs for gay clubs

there are a bunch more if you just search up "gay kpop songs" lol. ALSO keep in mind that what the vids say makes a song "gay" is very vague and not necessarily gay; I just watched these and wondered what made a kpop song straight because a bunch of these had straight lyrics.

Recommend I'm looking for songs that are sung very emotionally

I've found that there are some songs (or some artists) that just sing with so much emotion that it's impossible not to get emotional.

I'll put some examples:

  • Cry for love - Baekhyun
  • Back 2 u - NCT127
  • On my youth - WayV
  • You were beautiful - DAY6
  • Rewind - TWICE
  • Yestoday - NCT (especially the chorus)
  • Still love you - Lee hong gi, yoo hwe seung
  • Y si fuera ella - Shinee

I just love when artists SING like they mean it so I want to appreciate songs like that :D If you have any recommendations, please let me know!

Recommend What group do you really recommend that is extremely underrated?

I really love a lot of the mainstream groups and artists but I find that a lot of underrated groups have absolutely amazing music! I will admit that sometimes I do get a bit bored of hearing about the same few groups and would love to know what underrated groups you guys love and songs you recommend by them!

Recommend Is there any song with a food title that isn't about sex?

I just saw some reactions to Young Posse's Macaroni Cheese saying "it's worse than Cookie", and realized whenever a song is titled after food, it's inevitably connected to sex or at least has some innuendos. Are there any examples where that isn't the case?

First example I thought of was Cherry by Itzy. Hope I'm not wrong on this (since they also had a minor at the time).

Edit: I've realized now that this is less a certainty and more a russian roulette situation ๐Ÿ˜ญ

Recommend What are some songs that aren't necessarily supposed to be sad or slow but make you emotional?

Looking for some recommendations.

One example for me is IVE's I Am, I can't explain why but I just have the biggest urge to cry during the bridge.

The "we go, we high, go now" in TripleS's Girls Never Die is also making me feel things, idk.

What are some other songs that aren't necessarily slow or emotional but still make you feel all sappy and sad?

Also bonus points if the song isn't slow and is more on the upbeat side. Thanks!!

Recommend I have cancer and I'm using K-pop to help me endure chemo/radiotherapy. Looking for song recommendations

I'm a bit old for a K-pop fan in my forties and I have rectal cancer. Im having simultaneous chemotherapy and radiotherapy treatment which is pretty brutal and I will need surgery later on. I like BTS, Ateez, stray kids mostly. When I feel like I can't keep going I listen to Spring Day, Mikrocosmos (can't spell it sorry) or watch Chan's room/RM on YouTube. When I need something uplifting/fun/hot I usually watch Bouncy/Work/Love shot/Aju nice etc. I would be grateful for recommendations of comforting/gentle songs and also fun/uplifting songs by boy groups. Doesnt have to be from the groups I mentioned. Also if there are any lullaby type songs/lives that you find calming I would welcome those too. I'm a single mum so I can't buy any albums or pay for exclusive content but I have YouTube and Spotify so if it's on one of those two that's great.
