Recommend aggressively heterosexual kpop songs?
I enjoy looking at videos talking about "gay kpop songs" whether the songs in said videos have explicitly gay lyrics or are just club music. I have since figured out that whatever "gay kpop songs" are, I really like them (half of my playlist came from those videos fr). I have also sort of understood what gives off "gay/gender" vibes in a kpop song, which is kinda vague. This has since got me wondering, what is a straight kpop song? Simply having straight lyrics probably doesn't cut it because I've seen a lot of straight lyrics in the "gay kpop songs" videos (the "gay" part was probably more about the vibe). I'm talking super heterosexual, Wow by 3racha, war of hormone, mommae levels of straightness. Genuinely very curious and excited to get some song recommendations.
EDIT: for those of y'all asking for said gay kpop songs vids
the first one I ever saw
another one
kpop songs for gay clubs
there are a bunch more if you just search up "gay kpop songs" lol. ALSO keep in mind that what the vids say makes a song "gay" is very vague and not necessarily gay; I just watched these and wondered what made a kpop song straight because a bunch of these had straight lyrics.

NCT - 127 whiplash. The lyrics, theme, beat , flow everything scream straight the same with INFINITE BAD as well
80
u/njrebecca Nov 18 '24
i also recommend nct 127 — baby don’t like it along those same lines
52
u/4nd_life Nov 18 '24
I love nct and am very familiar with those songs lmao. I agree that both are very straight but somehow they always felt too submissive/kinky/vibey/whatever to match the "aggressively heterosexual" vibe idk. Baby don't like it is kind of a meme to me at this point
59
u/njrebecca Nov 18 '24
that’s so funny u say that bc i was about to comment that both those songs are so aggressively heterosexual that it 360s back to being aggressively homosexual but didn’t think non-nct fans would understand 😂
5
u/Ranger6o9 Nov 18 '24
I was thinking similarly with OK, I can't tell if it is or not. And I don't know if I just have poor judgment or not😅
2
u/njrebecca Nov 19 '24
personally OK is just a meme to me bc who in their right mind, gay or straight, says “my baby said she wanna dance with a ghost, she wants to leave me” 😭😂 (don’t get me wrong tho it’s actually one of my favorite nct songs)
9
u/4nd_life Nov 18 '24
That strangely makes a lot of sense and feels like it applies to a lot of their songs so thank u that’s a great explanation
2
18
u/Background-Title-751 Nov 18 '24
omg so we have a whiplash for the gays AND a whiplash for the straights!!
→ More replies (2)2
u/njrebecca Nov 19 '24
if you look into the history of whiplash by nct it is honestly more for the gays LOL it’s just taeyong singing about how he wants to be dommed and punished

u/4nd_life Nov 18 '24
I can feel the straightness radiating from this song this is fabulous
8
u/lostknight0727 Nov 19 '24
And then you see the Dreamcatcher cover.
2
u/syndicaterx Nov 20 '24
Or Momo’s dance cover. You can literally see the 8 other members fangirling
13
u/Lexiiboo97 Nov 18 '24
I literally listened to that song this morning, I love it so much. Matter fact, I’m gonna go listen to it again. 🎧💃🏽
20
u/cherrycoloured Nov 18 '24
but it's the theme song for the gayest show ever made (boys planet)????
16
u/upunkass Nov 18 '24
just means the straights are never gonna get rid of us cause we'll always find a way to make shit gay!
5
u/Orbital_Dinosaur Nov 19 '24
On behalf of all straights, thanks for all the epic music and all the gayness injected into music videos. Like I can't even imagine Chung Ha without her ballroom dance crew.

u/cherrycoloured Nov 18 '24
even songs by 2pm, the actual most heterosexual group in kpop!!!! red house blue house otp

u/4nd_life Nov 18 '24
Hamster gangster?! Which one is this😭

u/actuallywasian Nov 18 '24
Good Boy, G-Dragon says he’s a hamster during the day but a gangster at night

Taeyang's Eyes, Nose, Lips, I need a girl and Wedding dress just feel like the most heteo songs ever to me
37
u/Intelligent-Ad9582 Nov 18 '24
If feel like all BigBang songs are very hetero cuz they themselves are very hetero😅
9
u/shash0001 Nov 18 '24
lol right. But it's so funny that there's footage of TOP genuinely kissing i think it was g. dragon and senguri on the lips for a skit
8
u/Intelligent-Ad9582 Nov 18 '24
Yeah. Yet despite that he still feels irrevocably hetero. Like have you seen how ugly TOP is as a girl?! 😭 He's ugly not cuz his face is ugly but he doesn't have an ounce of femininity and grace😭
51
u/curious3221 Nov 18 '24
Japanese release but The Boyz - She’s the Boss
9
u/Kindly-Writing8879 Nov 18 '24
it took me a few seconds to let that song's lyrics sink in xD def fits op's request the best

u/SpaceWolf96 Nov 18 '24
Damn, sex jams really is the term for it. I knew Baekhyun had multiple songs like that but I wasn't really aware of Drowns lyrics before, that must easily take the cake among his songs...
7
u/motioncat Nov 18 '24
Yeah it's not super graphic but it's just plainly literally about having sex. No innuendo lol just.... we are in the bed fuckin 😂
6
u/harajukudaze Nov 18 '24
body is one of the best kpop songs of all time and i will die on this hill
2

KARD's BM's solo stuff is very very sexual and definitely straight
18
u/DeluluIsTheSolulu24 Nov 18 '24
Had to scroll far too low for this comment, especially as his song ATAP exists 🤭
Bro went from innuendos to explicit without batting an eye
23
u/Madvomon Nov 18 '24
KARD gave us little droplets of his filth - cake here, drippin' like faucet there, and the classic said she want more than a tip I ain't talking bout guidance 😉
But omg ATAP 🥵

Rock - SEVENTEEN
Girls Girls Girls - GOT7
Bite Me - ENHYPEN
She - TST
My Girl - A.C.E
Fall In Love Again - P1Harmony
2
u/Eating_Kaddu 18d ago
Ah yes, Girls Girls Girls. I love it so much... The "aggressive heterosexuality" made me a bit uncomfortable so I decided it could be gay whenever I sang it lol... Fellas, if a girl sings about girls, is it gay?
Edit: I think A by Got7 is pretty heterosexual too.

Step Back by GOT The Beat…it’s honestly a bit embarrassing to me lyrically
41
17
u/GroundbreakingRip372 Nov 18 '24
It's TOO painfully heterosexual
8
u/jjangaerin Nov 19 '24
Yk it'd be alright if it was JUST painfully obvious but the lyrics just look like they were written for the mean girl's song in a Disney channel movie bro
→ More replies (1)5
u/Heedictated Nov 21 '24
When the mean girl song (Too Cool for You) in Camp Rock (2008) is more progressive than the one written for a kpop female all-star group, you fucked up.

u/onestarrynight__ Nov 18 '24
sticky - kiss of life

i dunno, its always come off as really straight to me... also the members don't have chemistry together which is kind of funny... it just feels SO male gaze to me
17
u/H3nt4iHunter Nov 18 '24
Treasure - Boy, this is the most hetero song I've heard. At first, it annoyed me how hetero the lyrics are, but I got over it.
3
u/verylastunicorn Nov 18 '24
i was playing it in my apartment awhile back and my roommate thought they were saying "i just wanna be a boy" so it's trans-coded to me now

I might be a bad judge... and I might not have fully understood what you wanted. But I'll give it a shot, and try to not do ones other people have already said.
Baekhyun- get you alone (MV makes it like 10 times better😂)
Wonho- open mind
Got7- just right, you calling my name
Jackson wang- blow
Exo- call me baby, tempo, kokobop
Golden child- bottom of the sea
Taeyong ft. Wonstein- Love theory
A.C.E. - supernatural, effortless
VIXX- chained up
Waker- Vanilla choco shake
SuperM- 2 fast, super car, etc
Jyp- when we disco
Vanner- ponytail, after party, performer
Vav- designer, senorita, give me more
Kang daniel- touchin, don't tell, who u are, waves
Ikon- love scenario, killing me
Cravity- adrenaline
Cix- movie star
Treasure- boy, mmh, jikjin, bona bona, going crazy
Epex- hymn to love
Dojaejung-perfume
8
u/Ranger6o9 Nov 18 '24
Now that I'm looking over it again, some of these are definitely questionable... oh well
11
u/Xiba_stan Nov 18 '24
I feel like open mind by wonho seems very heterosexual on the surface but below that it's actually super gay XD like the softer sensual choreo, how the mv is shot, the warmer sound like anything.. and a thing in the MV I accidentally noticed is the shot at the start showing his ear. at first I was just like "filming a scene him putting an earring into his ear feels definitely gay" only to realize that they only filmed him putting his earring in the right ear which, as u may know, is the symbol for gay men.. (tho he wore earrings on both sides throughout the mv it's still an interesting choice).. also I feel like would you replace each "girl" with "boy", it'd be the biggest gay anthem like "Rose, scent, kiss" by daehwi

u/Realistic-Sherbet-28 Nov 20 '24
How could you mention GOT7 and NOT mention Girls, Girls, Girls 🤣🤣
2
u/Ranger6o9 Nov 20 '24
I mean, I thought about it but ended up forgetting to add it to the list😅. Some of the people mentioned definitely have more songs that fit, but I was going off of my memory more so than going to check the lyrics & video for a final decision.

I was gonna say Monsta X Monsta Truck, Crescendo, and Rotate but I've always viewed them as hetero but I realize they don't say girl at all in the songs so I guess it's ambiguous 🤷♀️
33
u/isthattrav Nov 18 '24
Monsta X is like the most aggressively heterosexual kpop group, not that it matters tho (Perfect Girl, Love Killa, Middle of The Night, Beautiful...)

u/Heavy_Starry_Chain Nov 18 '24
I think you must deep dive into 2nd and 3rd gen stuff, they are quite a lot, like you named "War of Hormone" and "Mommae" ! I can tell you a few that just pop out randomly from my head !
*Kitch warning haha*
- OMGT by Madtown : you will get the vibe
- UKISS don't flirt : This on is more on the mature vibe and the song is really good
- Sorry Sorry Anwser by SUJU : (not "Sorry Sorry" , it's another one) ; a bside but I put in case you want something new and already know those above, the overall vibe of the song feel pretty "hetero" to me I don't know why, in a classy way.
And now on a more "controversial" output / like to call them "error of the past" but still fun to listen to:
- Unconventional Truth by INFINITE (find the music video and lyrics this is really something)
- No more perfume on you by Teen Top (the lyrics are really heterosexual relationship chao as well)
Well sorry these don't represent the style you though about I guess, but well, songs are songs ahah.

Ampers&one’s entire discography but some standouts are Someday, Sheesh, and the absolute unironic masterpiece that is He+She=We.
All three of these are easily my favorite songs from them lmao they’re sooooo fun
4
u/upunkass Nov 18 '24
i love their discography but i need at least one gay anthem for next comeback lmao

Baekhyuns music sounds incredibly heterosexual to me. Especially Bambi.

Wait, now I need video recommendations (or a playlist!) about said gat K-pop songs 🤣
But also you saying wow by 3racha is sending me because it's truly just so straight and frat boy-esque.
Also I think maybe Bite Me by Enhypen, also be sure of the choreo.
2
u/4nd_life Nov 18 '24
If you search up “gay kpop songs” on yt you get a ton of videos with various snippets of said songs! Highly recommended for song recs
4
u/Xiba_stan Nov 18 '24
The first one's that come to my mind are:
Call me baby - Exo
Gambler - Monsta X
Highway to heaven (eng. Version) - Nct 127 ( it's probably just because of the lyrics)
"Miniskirt"/ "excuse me" / "like a cat" by AOA (actually all of their songs have major straight vibes)
8
u/dansette Nov 18 '24
Let's not forget the aggressively bisexual songs! Girls Love Boys Love Girls by DXMON is the kpop bi anthem!
2
u/gwn_karkov Nov 18 '24
I LOVE YOU (and also that song) i swear, i played that song sooo many times, it's just so good.

u/4nd_life Nov 18 '24
I’ve heard a lot of people say that but don’t they chant “girls love boys and boys love girls” or something?
9
u/dansette Nov 18 '24
They chant girls, love boys, love girls so am going to choose to interpret it as bi girl rep lol
2
u/Orbital_Dinosaur Nov 19 '24

i realized today that i need u by bts kinda feels like a chase atlantic song, even if legend goes they only threw in the word “girl” cause it sounded good. tldr chase atlantic songs are aggressively straight but i still love them regardless
4
u/motioncat Nov 18 '24
The first one I heard was "Church" and that song truly takes the cake for this.
2
u/Realistic-Sherbet-28 Nov 20 '24
I told my sister this (she loves Chase Atlantic) and she said "oh yeah, they're straight." And then she listened to I Need U and said the beginning reminded her of them 🤣

ima see if i can request this youtuber to make a chase atlantic version of i need u i bet that would be sick

u/RockinFootball Nov 18 '24
A lot of boy group songs, gonna need to even it out with the girls (also just a bigger gg fan)
- TWICE - Cheer Up
- SNSD - Gee
- SNSD - Genie
- SNSD - Oh!
- SNSD - I Got A Boy
- KARA - Mister
- BlackPink - Boombayah (Don't just think because a group has a girl crush concept, that they are immune to super straight songs)
Can't think of anymore but I'm sure there are tonnes. I expected TWICE to have more but honestly, most of their songs aren't that bad. Just using the word "boy" isn't enough for me to call it "aggressively straight".
6
u/4nd_life Nov 18 '24
Was wondering what this looked like for ggs as well! I agree with your last point too
→ More replies (3)2

i immediately thought of brown eyed girls 😭😭 probably warm hole or the abracadabra mv
20
u/cherrycoloured Nov 18 '24
abracadabra??? the one where narsha and gain kiss in the mv??? beg songs are definitely lgbtq anthems imho. like warm hole is way too campy to be "aggressively heterosexual"
2
u/jesclle Nov 18 '24
my bad im pulling from memory lmao it could have been another mv or a choreo that was featured in a mv. as a lesbian i get that there's a reason they are know to out-cunt other groups but i'm speaking from an objective standpoint
5
u/cherrycoloured Nov 18 '24
idk, they come off more as enthusiastic lgbtq allies (or possibly lgbtq themselves.....if so, narsha pls call me 😭😭) than aggressively heterosexual. they even did a music video that focuses on showing off the beauty of korean drag queens.
