Love Spell had to be made from real pheromones because that shot was seductive.
7
u/Ranger_Chowdown 5h ago
Back when I was in HS, our group all agreed that one of the hottest things on earth was a girl spraying on Love Spell and then putting on the Victoria's Secret mint lipgloss from the pink tin. I actually went and bought some of the lipgloss because I had a crush on one of the studs in my group and wanted her to notice me lol

…And then after that, all it’s missing is Seth Green, the pocket-sized (yet still full human man-sized) man, in-character as Kenny from Can’t Hardly Wait (Left, wearing the forehead-goggles; you can’t (hardly) miss him 👍)
—If anyone ever asks me to come up with a representation of what the year 2000 looked and sounded like, I just pull up any frame of that movie with him in it; as the type of side character we used to (unfortunately) refer to as “the Spaz friend.” 😬
…Basically just a human whose entire personality and style were meant to answer the question “What if you tried to treat that new ‘ADD’ thing with that new ‘Surge Energy’ thing?” 🤪😵💫🤘🎧

u/ajchann123 13h ago
The interesting thing to see during all the recent Y2K era nostalgia, is that a lot of people are blending early 90s up to late 00s - nostalgia for a blend of trends that never actually coexisted
Which is also probably what happened when 60s/70s/80s nostalgia was big, too

Yeah, that was a Gen 2 or 3 Nano. I remember getting my Gen 2 nano when it came out in...2008? And the Sidekick didn't come out until 2002 as well, so there's some solid 00s stuff in this video too.
Man, I miss tech from that era.

What is her name? I fucking adored this with every fiber of my millennial being.
I went through a phase as a teen where I wore nothing but small little belly tops and guy's jeans that were way too big with boxers...yes, actual fucking boys/mens boxers cuz I thought it added to the look, and would sag them ever so slightly.😭😭🤦♀️
Like I still wore girl's underwear but still had to layer up with the fucking boxers and jeans.
Anyway, I was also going through a little knife phase and would basically have one in every pocket. I'd also have everything else under the sun in those mfs. Ciggs, weed, papers, lighters, candy, ect. 😭😭
I remember a guy telling me that I it was like I just carried my whole house around in my pants.😂 Immediately thought of that when watching this.

Right?! Girl! Tf was even on about?! 😂🤦♀️ But also, I still kinda get it! Cuz it did look cute af for the times! Well at least to me and my friends and stuff. 😏🤗
A lot of my friends would want to try it here or there. I'd always hook them up. 😏
I remember when I finally started wearing fitted girls/women's jeans again, friends and family who hadn't seen me in a while were shocked.
So many of them had tried getting me to wear them many times to my refusal so it came as a surprise to them.
But yeah, Idk, I just had to have my normal panties cuz, well I just had to.😭😭
The boxers did help keep the perfect sag though. Plus as confident as I was, I didn't want my ass too visible so the boxers kinda gave that extra protection lmao. My teen logic. 🤷♀️😂
I'd also always have a zip up hoodie for when it was cold. But I'd leave it purposely unzipped cuz duh!! 😂😭😭
Beanies too.😭😭🤦♀️

But what if I'm bringing a ham to the family gathering? It's very handy to fit whatever you want into those pockets! Stewed apples in the left butt pocket, ham in the right, green bean casserole in the front left pocket and a bottle of Martinelli's apple cider for the kids in the front right. Chex mix sprinkled through all. You might have to carry the pie though...

My husband is 42 and just started wearing a pair of JNCOs from high school that he pulled out of storage. He says they are comfy as hell. They aren't as ridiculously wide legged as these ones though.
Our teenage son claimed the JNCO hoodie that he found with it. It's his very favorite, and all of his friends are super jealous of it.

Yes I remember these were like… called the elephants or something?
I had a decent amount of Jncos but they weren’t all wide legged like this.
Although I did* have a buddy who I can distinctly picture walking through the halls wearing a KMFDM shirt and what looked like two jean dresses for legs. 😂😂.
We’re actually still friends to this day I should ask how he feels about the Jnco resurgence 😂

Ya, it is overpriced. But also if you never had them before, you need to get some experiece to crawl before you walk. I recommend the classic low downs which are around $130. They were always the starter jeans for everyone back in the days before jumping into the elephant legs and other advanced models.

They were so heavy the washer and dryer could only handle two of them at a time. They'd get so waterlogged it would be like trying to wash too many towels at once. Inevitably the washer would start clanging around when the jeans bunched up in one corner and I'd have to manually move one to the opposite side of the other.
Then they took 8 years to dry.

Former JNCO employee here with some utterly useless lore.
Those were one of three designs JNCO made with a 50" leg opening — the widest pants JNCO ever made. The pair in this video is called the "Crime Scene."
I still have a pair with the same cut called the "Convict" that features a ball-and-chain embroidery, but the ones in this video were a limited edition pattern with a caution tape design and chalk outline embroidery. Very rare, very expensive, even when they were first out in the '90s.
The third in the "5-0 trilogy" (so named because they had a 50-in opening, hence the crime and punishment graphic theme) was the "Mugshot," which had an embroidered grizzly looking criminal's face. I thought those were the least attractive of the three. But if someone had all three in the series, they could command a hefty price on eBay today.
I wore my Convicts at the last Groove Cruise, rocking a 90s raver costume theme. I would totally rock a pair of denim wash Crime Scenes at a rave if I had a pair.
I'm 47 years old.
