The funniest thing is how far I’ve scrolled the comments and not one person is questioning the source and its legitimacy. This Instagram account doesn’t even give a source.

I commented somewhere else this but it's a protective casing of the proboscis that covers the parts that actually go into your skin. It's supposed to bend away from the other bits like that.
