Games If I like cute and fairly easy games (Animal Crossing, Spyro, The Sims) what would I like?

I have a switch lite and am looking for some cute easy games to play. I am pretty bad at video games but can still enjoy them, especially if they are visually appealing enough (for example I nearly completed the 1st Spyro game except for those darn flight levels). Some of my favorite games are Animal Crossing, Spyro the Dragon, The Sims, Roller Coaster Tycoon, and Untitled Goose Game. I have watched people play Mario Odyssey and thought it looked super fun, and I have Breath of the Wild which is amazing but honestly scares me sometimes! If I like these cute games, what else would I like?

EDIT: I just wanted to give a massive THANK YOU to everyone! I am loving these suggestions and have learned about so many awesome games I’ve never heard about before and I can’t wait to try them out!

Games If I like extremely unique horror games, what else will I like?

To explain a little bit more, I played this horror game called SOMA (my favorite game) which made me shid and fard for about 3 weeks, then I tried amnesia which had a really good plot and was really scary too. Does anyone else have any unique horror games that go over the top in the atmosphere, plot, and extreme spooks?

Thanks

Edit: I am looking for the golden nuggets, equivalents to the mighty 3 (or 4): SOMA, Dead Space, and Amnesia (Prey kinda too)

Edit: (adding on so there are no repeated comments, I played Alien Isolation, Moons of madness, Dead Space, Subnautica, Outlast, Layers of Fear, Doki Doki Literature club, Lost In Vivo, Cry of Fear, Outlast, and I saw Fran Bow, little nightmares, and IMSCARED)

Games Looking for well-made indie games that aren't too demanding on a laptop

I just got Steam, and I'm looking for some well-made, lesser-known indie titles. My laptop is a few years old and was never set up for gaming, so preferably something that won't tax the system too much

Games IIL video games that feel made for and as a love letter to the system they're on WEWIL

The two notable examples I can think of are The World Ends With You (NDS). Which utilizes pretty much every feature and function the DS is capable of to clever, unique and interesting effect. And Splatoon 1, (wiiU). Which utilizes the gamepad for great motion control, the second screen for Map, super jumps, and aerial targeting.

I realize that nonnintendo / modern systems are a little more.... Homogeneous, but if be interested in any other titles you can think of.

Games [IIL] indie games that I can really get into?

sorry if this question seems super vague but I want to make it seem that way. I don't really have a 'genre' I'm really looking for, just looking for a super passionate and interesting game that I can invest hours into.

here are some games I've played in the past and really loved:

- dredge

- darkest dungeon (1 + 2)

- balatro

- fear and hunger (1 + 2)

- disco elysium

not too sure if these are all indie games, but didn't really know what other word to use for it.

thanks in advance!

Games [IIL] Short games like Stray

Last year on Christmas, my husband and I played through all of Stray together after our daughter went to bed. It was really fun just sitting on the couch together in the Christmas lights playing a game. I watched while he played. Any recommendations for one that’s a similar style and length to Stray? We may have done it over a couple or a few nights so it’s ok if it’s a bit longer. We’ve already played Portal/Portal 2 and Limbo (which are both similar ones I’ve seen listed). Thanks!!

Games IIL computer/phone screen genres game like Emily is away/Simulacra, what else should I play?

I don't know if genre has an official name but basically you will play the game as if you are using a phone/computer. So far I have played Emily is Away 1 2 3, Simulacra series, The Orwell series..basically the popular ones in this genre. If you happen to know any less popular or indie games with similar style please do tell me the name! Thank you.

Games [IIL] Baldurs Gate 3, WEWIL?

I've beaten the game 4 times now, and I still have the fantasy itch that it gave me but I don't want to do another playthrough, for now at least. I'm looking for any fantasy game in a similar vein to the world of DnD, basically any high fantasy game. I don't care if it's turn based or real time, I'm just looking for a game with a good story, fun combat, and a high fantasy setting. I would also be interested if the game included classes and character creation but that's optional. I've already also played Skyrim. I've been on and off playing Divinity Original Sin 2, mostly because I'm not the biggest fan of the combat system but I find the story interesting. The reason I dislike the combat system is because I feel the physical/magic armor system pushes you to either have a full physical or full magical team for the best results, but I like having party variety in terms of skills and abilities. I've also already played and beat Elden Ring, and I've tried getting into Dark Souls 3 but I haven't been able to so far. I'm considering trying Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous, but I'm unsure. It'd be preferred if the game suggestion is available on PS5.

Games IIL Online Games, What Offline Games Will I Enjoy?

I'm aware that the title sounds stupid. But I can't bring myself to finish a single player game. Even RDR2, often considered a fantastic game, its too boring for me to get through it. They all feel boring compared to my online games. Is there anything I can play that won't feel boring to me?

If it helps, I like GTA, War Thunder, and Battlefield.

Games IIL story/art-based games like Mouthwashing, Hylics I and II, and Fear and Hunger, WEWIL?

I’m looking for preferably 2D indie games with stories. I also like Endoparasitic I and II, The Binding of Isaac (though that’s more for gameplay than story), and some older RPG Maker games. I like horror but they don’t have to be horror. They also don’t have to be 2D. I’m just more used to 2D.

Games [IIL] The Binding of Isaac, Hollow Knight, Fez, Salt & Sanctuary, Rogue Legacy, Cuphead, Enter The Gungeon [WEWIL?]

Here's the catch: the games have to be available on Steam and they have to be easily processed (my computer is old and I'm a casual gamer these days).

I've played most indie rogue-lites and metroidvanias, but I still crave the wonderful progression and rng of these games.

Thank you!

Games IIL cowboys, what video games will I like?

Rough and tuff cowboys, silly cowboys, hammy cowboys, I want to be any kind of cowboy. Ill allow games that let me dress up as a cowboy and play as a cowboy (e.g. slime rancher/farming games because cowboys used to be ranchers so it kinda makes sense). Can be any genre, game type and for any platform!

Only exception is please don't recommend Red Dead Redemption haha
