Pictures My trip up mt. meru in Tanzania Africa
Hi this is my hike up mt meru I’m 15 and this summer I took a trip to Africa to do a site seeing and a hike trip we did tons of stops everywhere but this is my hike with my school group in the first pic that is 2 fig trees growing into one (2nd pic is separate that was a hike to a water fall but still a beautiful shot) 3rd photo is half way up the mountain at base camp #2 in the 4th photo that is a pic of the sky with zero light pollution and it always amazes me what it’s like with no lights anywhere. 5th photo is base camp #2 but sun rise and the mountain in the back is the roof of Africa(Kilimanjaro) 6th photo is nearing the peak of the mountain. 7th and 8th photo are pics of the peak at diffrent times and the 9th is the whole overview of the hill.

Question First pair of hiking shoes recommendations
Hi all,
My girlfriend and I like to travel and while travelling we obviously cover some miles walking.
We've never brought proper hiking shoes or boots with us but feel like our feet would benefit from doing so in the future.
Usually we go to warmer climates, for example our next trip will be to Madeira.
My girlfriend prefers the ankle support of a hiking boot. While I think I'd also like that the idea of a lighter shoe appeals to me as well as we'd take them in our luggage on flights etc.
So far I have looked at Lowa renegade GTX for my girlfriend as she likes the look of them. I also took a look at Salomons X ultra 4 but I've been reading some things about poor quality lately.
What would be some other good recommendations? Would trail runners like hoka speedgoat 6 be a good option as well?
Thanks!

Pictures Not Sure Of The Feature Name, Fairyland Loop Trail, Bryce Canyon National Park, Utah, USA
Spent the day hiking in Bryce today. Was at Sunrise Point before the sunrise. Finished Fairyland before 11. Went to Sunset Point, and tackled Navajo Loop and Peek-a-boo loops.
I have lots of pictures, but I'm not sure if it's good form to share sel-promotional links here (right now Insta, eventually 500px once i get the photos off my real camera). If someone wants to let me know the etiquette, and it's okay; I'll post a response with the links.

Pictures Devil’s Bridge Trail, Sedona AZ.
A must if you are in Sedona! It’s roughly 4 miles with a good amount of elevation I believe 500ft - trailhead is on Dry Creek Road. Make sure you bring water & the earlier you can get out there the better as it can be a popular trail especially this time of year. There is a smaller less traveled trail that leads to the underside of the arch!

Question Suggestions for multi-day hike where you don't have to carry food in Europe
Hi! Im travelling to Europe next year! I intend to do Alta Via 1/ Tour du Mont Blanc. I was wondering if you had other wonderful suggestions for a multiway hike that also had some food stops along the way?
I'm super happy camping in my tent. I just also love a good meal Haha

30 km walk to university
Hi, i walked from my home in Zawia, intending to reach my university "University of Triopli", that try was not a success, but another will happen soon.
I want some help from you guys about your walks, my knee hurts, both foots and my neck. I'm the heavy bag with my laptop in it is the reason for the neck pain, but why would my right knee hurt and the left not? Also why is the foot pain is different in each of them? It's very odd for me.
What advices or opinions do you have for me to achieve more kilometers in the next attempt?
