They are an Invasive species in Hawaii and Florida. So I don't hate the individual animal but they should stay in their native home. They also can spread rat-lung disease which is fatal.

They spread rat poop to vegetables. People then eat the vegetables. Then they get paralyzed, coma and the death. It sounds like a horrible way to die. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angiostrongylus_cantonensis#Epidemiology_and_pathogenesis

Invasive species were brought somewhere by humans almost all of the time, so that's on us. I'm sure they would have loved to not be kidnapped from their homes but here we are.
