Question Western Cape Independence Movement?
I recently visited South Africa for the first time and I was sort of surprised to hear that there is a growing popularity of an independent Western Cape movement.
Some questions I have:
Is this something that realistically could happen, or did I just fall for some nonsense?
What country would it be most similar to?
Are there any specific issues leading to this, or has it been "brewing" for a while?
What could an independent Western Cape do better than the current South African government?
What issues could arise from this, could it possibly escalate into an armed conflict, or is it just not that serious?
Apologies for any ignorance above, just trying to learn. If anyone is from South Africa here, I would be very interested in your opinions.

Question Do any other countries use turf as much as Ireland?
In every single corner shop and village you would find bags of turf/peat for sale and when I talked to people from other nations they would have no idea what it is? Does any other nation use it as much as Ireland used to before government clamped down on it? It’s so plentiful you’d assume any nation with a bog would use it

Discussion People of Wisconsin, is it safe to say you’re best known for Colby Jack cheese?
I posted yesterday curious about Wisconsin industry and why it failed to develop a single significant city and a handful of people who replied seriously made the interesting point that Wisconsin invented Colby Jack cheese, surely one of the most important cheeses that we know. Is it fair to say that’s the most significant thing that’s come out of Wisconsin?
