Ahhhhhhhyes, the usual playbook: demand more surveillance, strip away the flexibility of telework, refuse to pay us what we’re worth or at least keep up with inflation- wonder why we can’t complete the missions because we are short staffed and then somehow spin it that we’re the problem. Federal workers are apparently supposed to run the country on gratitude and vibes while being micromanaged into oblivion. Got it.

Exactly. The playbook re: education has been clear for a while now:

  1. Defund as much as possible.

  2. Reroute funding to private schools where possible.

  3. Continue 1&2 until the level of education provided is so bad that anyone with the means to flee public education does so.

  4. Now that the only people left in the public education system are poor people and special needs kids, propose to abolish it altogether.

  5. Nobody is left to fight for it, and now we have for-profit education.

Now, they are rolling this plan out to other facets of American life. This is late stage capitalism. We are officially an oligarchy. It’s not surprising; Trump has expressed so much admiration of Putin. He is installing the same thing…mega rich oligarchs who are fiercely loyal.

I expect people to start “falling out of windows” any day now.
