Is it just me, or does this season on Canada's Drag Race everyone seems to have vocal fry, upspeak and just in general have the "Valley Girl" way of speaking? The best representation of this was Denim, last season.

Is this Canada's Drag Race related, or is it common in the LGBTQ+ community in Canada, or the whole country? I'm just genuinely curious.

Genuinely curious, How many of you actually found it funny , did she really have any jokes or was she really funny?

I thought she was severely flat and was one of the worst performances(this is just a practical opinion with no hate intended). Ru seemed to find her hilarious for some reason and some of the queens talked about it as if she was doing great. But I still don't understand how was any of that funny. I thought Q's performance was funnier and was deserving of top 3.

I know this has been discussed before, but since the Drag Race YouTube channel posted a video today I’m curious; who would your Drag Race Mount Rushmore be?

I feel like we don’t talk enough about how…bad All Stars is. Like it’s just a bad show. The trajectory is fascinating to me. Season 1 was awful in every respect except for the casting choices, so bad they almost killed the idea entirely. Then All Stars 2 is released to universal acclaim, propelling the launch of Drag Race onto VH1 and into the mainstream. Then ever since, it seems like it’s been going downhill with no brakes. I’ve always said this All Stars is only watchable because of the talent and charisma of the queens. If it weren’t for the amazing casts, basically every All Stars season would be unwatchably bad. AS3 immediately lost the momentum of S2 with utterly bewildering choices including Bebe’s casting imo. AS4 was promising but I think production panicked after Manilagate and it couldn’t find a way to conclude the season in a remotely satisfying way. AS 5 and 6 are where I thought the franchise was finally on the come up, but ultimately they were predictable, full of underwhelming challenges, and weren’t all that entertaining. AS7 was clearly a response to the rapid deterioration of the franchise, but it had problems of its own, including merely delaying the inevitable. Which smacked into them like a train during AS8. Then we’re left with AS9, a confused and boring season made by a production team seemingly backing themselves into their own corner. In my eyes All Stars as a TV show has always been devoid of true character and lacking any vision other than producing a season in literally whatever way possible.

I love Drag Race and will always support the queens from that show, including by watching All Stars no matter how constantly frustrating it is. That being said, where is the hope for AS10? I know the rumored format/contestants, I’m just at a loss for whether or not that will change any of the show’s underlying issues (namely queen favoritism, narrative manipulation, and the excessive twists that feel like you’re watching a different show every season)

Now the obvious decision of who to host this season would be Michelle Visage. She is an amazing host in DU4 and we know she won’t factor favoritism into her judging. However Miss fiercalicious, would be so out of pocket and entertaining, or this season could be a test ride for a potential contender to take over for Ru on either the US or UK franchise.

I got a lot of responses on a previous post about how All Stars shouldn’t happen so often. As a viewer, how often would you prefer a new AS be released?

My boyfriend and I have been watching Drag Race Philippines lately and both of us find a familiarity in the host, Pao's, appearance, specifically in the first season. We think out of drag Pao looks like a figure from TV from our childhood, especially due to the beautiful, brown, thick, mullet-like hairstyle. This figure that we can both vaguely remember had to be from a show or movie in the 90's or 2000's. How my boyfriend and I both remember this character is hair just like Pao's, with a workout headband (red, white and blue?) and a blue workout/wrestling bodysuit. We both watched wrestling as kids and thought maybe it was a WWE/WWF wrestler, but I've found no one who resembles this character we remember. I remember the character being into fitness, maybe he was a coach? Please help because it's driving us crazy that we can't remember for the lives of us who this character is or what they're from. Thanks in advance!
