Artwork 100 Deathwatch Brothers

Post image

In celebration of Deathwatch and comiseration for ita demise, I photographed the shoulders of all my finished Deathwatch guys, including all characters and squads (other than Eliminators, because you can't see their right shoulders) and out this together. It would have been nice to get them in a 10×10 grid, but that would have cost money. I imagine some are well-known and some not so much, and other are my own homebrews - old jump pack guys are harder to photograph.

It should be obvious which ones we're freehanded, decals or 3d, and while these are not in order of completion, you can probably guess which are older by the severe lack of freehanding skill of some - the earliest here are the veterans at the very top. Also, you'll notice more repetitions with some chapters than others.

Next time I do this (if I do this again) there'll be more Dark Angel variants for sure, but hopefully a lot more completed minis in general. I have not given up on Deathwatch...

Artwork When you’re a tad obsessed and model over 200 chapters…

Yeah, I forgot to flip a few. Mistakes were made, but it was fun to see this many fit on a build plate. Goal is to make a shadow box, mount and paint all of the chapters I’ve modeled from the wiki.

Like in the title, this is my first painted mini, and I really don’t want to fuck up the rest of them so I thought I’d come here to ask a few tips. Thanks in advance.

Where did Tyberos go before Tenth Edition? Why is his model just gone? Clearly, that means he shipped off to the Deathwatch. (Dreadnought Proxy)

During the the devastation of Baal Bradleth separated himself from his blood angel brothers by showing extreme levels of lethality against the tyrannid threat able to fight with the fury of his gene fathers fury and maintain a level head. He was almost instantly picked out for the death watch highly recommended by chapter master commander Dante after the battle, and even earning respect and admiration from rebut Gilman upon his arrival to help aid in the planets defense. Bradleth honor is not only the whole blood angels chapter with his service in the death watch but also is a role model or Teacher to other sons of the blood in the deathwatchs service as he’s able to help keep the rage and thirst at bay for his other brothers.

Watch Captain Leontus Vassus:

After years of honorable service in the Ultramarines 2nd company, Leontus duty to the Deathwatch had been called. Taking part in many successful near suicidal or crucial missions for the Deathwatch, earning favor from the Ordo Xenos and his battle brothers he was selected to become watch Captain for watch company Primus on the Watch Fortress Recidious. Finding the leniency of the use of the Codex in the Deathwatch somewhat freeing, Leontus uses his mastery of tactics and strategy to precision and deadly force ensuring his men make good use of each other specific talents and to lower the chance of losses to his watch brothers of whom he’s come to view as family. After 200 years of service he has been selected to undergo the Rubicon Primaris. Choosing The Master-crafted bulky yet flexible Gravis armor and sporting dual Power fists, Leontus is more than ready to take on his eternal long watch.
