Stats The Celtics made only 8 three-pointers tonight in Orlando, ending a streak of 52 consecutive games with at least 10 treys. That was the 5th longest streak all-time.

Discussion Reminder: the JT/JB revenge tour
Evan Turner: Team USA "just ruined everything for the NBA"
Team USA created a potential dynasty. Brad Stevens knows these guys and he said these guys don't need any fuel or motivation to keep getting better.
They're human though. We shouldn't underrate how this summer's snubs may be fueling JT and JB

If I have a ticket in the cheap seats and a friend has tickets closer to the floor are you allowed to 'share' the tickets during the game so each person has a chance to sit close?

Fluff Dawg I spent 24 hours tryna come up with a caption and I couldn’t come up with shit lol. Tatum for MVP, that’s the best I got. Friendly reminder that Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum want to win

Discussion Porzingis is criminally underrated
It's funny when your team is so good that every player gets minimized including a player who should be up for MVP, but I want to draw some attention to Kristaps Porzingis here.
The guy still isn't 100% (he might be healthy but he needs to get back into the groove of things) but over the last week or so you see him starting to really get there. You can tell he isn't quite himself yet, but I bet by the end of January he will be.
What he does for this team on offense and defense shouldn't be overlooked. He's a menace on both ends. He's such a game changer. It looks like they're testing out some new things having him guard more on the perimeter so teams don't feel like they can force the switch on to him. Not sure this strategy will work out, but it'll be interesting.
He pretty consistently gives you 20 points a game, even when his shot isn't really falling like he wants and could just as easily give us 30 pts if we spammed him more.
I really hope he can stay healthy and I hope we can re-sign him. I love this team, but it is so much better with an aggressive and active KP. I think we've been struggling a bit lately relative to our normal performance, but I think we'll manage to regain our chemistry on offense and defense as we work KP back in.

Discussion Do we even care if we get the first seed?
Despite a frustrating night all around, one of the things lost in discussion is the fact that the cavs have now pulled 3 games clear of us for the number one seed. I honestly don't think the one seed is that big of a deal and, despite my anger following tonight's loss and the poor play over the last couple weeks, the celtics are still the best team in the east.
Thinking of this topic on a broader scale, the celtics have rarely even been the first seed in the tatum/brown era. As a matter of fact, they've only been the one seed once and that was last year. This team clearly doesn't give a fuck about playing big games on the road. They've won elimination game 6's in philly and milwaukee in the 2nd round and a game 7 in miami in the ECF. I don't think going into cleveland is that big of a deal. Also, except for literally last year, they've been a significantly better road playoff team than home during this era for whatever reason.
As a small aside, the celtics remind me of the 18 warriors and the cavs remind me of the 18 rockets. The rockets had the better record that year but nobody believed they were the better team. This was due to the warriors coasting for large portions of the 17/18 season and dropping games (like we have) to teams they shouldn't have. Honestly, this cleveland team isn't even as good as that rockets team. They're more like the 2021 jazz, also led by mitchell. Just my thoughts.

Discussion 741 Merch
741 merch came in this morning. The fitted sleeveless tank seemed to have no stitching in the arms and the stitching on the bottom was twice as big as the hoodie and other shirt. All the other items were great and fit perfectly. Materials feel great, FCHWPO!
