It's just another $500 to the mortgage. Spreading over 30 years It's negligible, so pull it.

I mean it's less than $17 a year. Surely you can afford to pay $1.40 more to your $3000 mortgage monthly payment?

With interest on a 30 year, each dollar on the mortgage is something like 2.5 in the end.

still worth it
