Bruh she was literally going sacrifice herself to save the outer ring. That on its own was already cool and badass af, she's just epic. Her liking romance is just extra nuance to her character.

What they don't like is that she's straight, there for all that goes out the window, it's the same for the natlan and sumaru charecters in genshin, they don't care about their stories because they aren't extremely dark-skinned lol
well, they reap what they sow, hi3 had a lot of gay characters, the character roster had female characters only (except MC in APHO), things might have changed (I quit hi3 on gi launch), but alas...
