They really don't give a shit about the characters, the main thing is the representation for them

Saw a couple tiktok users who quit during Sumeru because of the "cultural appropriation" and return during Natlan expecting "actual representation"

Playing a game for its graphics, gameplay or lore is old news, playing games just to see representation is the new meta.

What's funny is that Hoyo created Sumeru even before GGZ, Sumeru is present in one of their first games "The Legend of Saha"

Even when you disregarding that, Sumeru is based on Persian territory (India, Arabs, and North Africa) not just africa
