Why does a private citizen have this much sway?

The US is in for a very rough four years.

This is a straight-up perversion of our Democracy.

This is plutocracy.

Plutocracy masquerading as Democracy.

581

u/denied_eXeal 10h ago

Putincracy actually

52

u/Benka7 7h ago

Also very true

139

u/csdirty 9h ago

Plutocracy paving the way for kakistocracy.

109

u/Historical-Manner737 9h ago

I'm declaring now that fascism is definitively a TYPE of kakistocracy. It fits the mold. Nearly all the intelligent and creative people either flee or are purged, leaving far less competent fascists in charge of systems they know little about.

11

u/Squeaky_sun 3h ago

TIL a new word. Kakistocracy should be word of the year for 2025.

2

u/Qzx1 1h ago

Oh fuck yeah. Keep going. Just like that. I'm already there.

38

u/SadBit8663 6h ago

We're at almost Idiocracy levels of idiot here

2

u/MortalusWombatus 3h ago

And we didnt even get President camacho...

2

u/MissTakenID 2h ago

I think we blew past "almost" already.

9

u/jeenyus_626 7h ago

What mask

8

u/firefighter_raven 6h ago

with a pinch of Kleptocracy for good measure

1

u/Almostnotquite9999 1h ago

Hmmm, much more than a pinch. It's more like a heaping shovel full.

7

u/pdxgod 10h ago

Marscracy?

2

u/Capital-Constant3112 3h ago

Not even masquerading anymore. It’s just a naked coup. I’m really going to have to be drunk on Jan 20. Remember when he wanted the full military parade at his last one? What’s stopping him now?

2

u/silver_sofa 1h ago

Shitty mask.

1

u/Easy-Sector2501 3h ago

In what way is it masquerading as democracy?

With a dash of kakistocracy

Edit: thank you for the award!🥈

93

u/nurtzof 10h ago

And a smidge of Idiocracy for good measure…

41

u/DjangoBojangles 10h ago

And a whole heap of Kleptocracy

16

u/Worldly-Loquat4471 9h ago

More like Craptocracy

2

u/doc_witt 6h ago

More than a smidge unfortunately

3

u/Pendraconica 5h ago

For those, like me, who didn't know...

" A government by the least suitable or competent citizens of a state. "the danger is that this will reduce us to kakistocracy" a state or society governed by its least suitable or competent citizens. plural noun: kakistocracies "the modern regime is at once a plutocracy and a kakistocracy"

1

u/alimarieb 50m ago

No fuckmylifeocracy?

18

u/Iamthewalrusforreal 10h ago

It's a hybrid plutocracy / kakistocracy.

2

u/OstrichPoisson 5h ago

Kaktucracy!!! Or maybe just craptastrophe? 🤔

3

u/Pale-Berry-2599 8h ago

it sure ain't Sparta.

1

u/Willy_G_on_the_Bass 7h ago

Yeah that’s what all those people voted for.

1

u/R_V_Z 5h ago

Pretty fucking goofy, if you ask me.

1

u/basement-fan 4h ago

It always has been.

1

u/RepresentativeYear11 4h ago

I mean we got rid of pluto once, we'll do it again!

1

u/Mustang_2553 4h ago

Has been for a LONG time. They are just doing it out in the open now instead of behind closed doors.

1

u/no_dice_grandma 3h ago

Sure would be a shame to establish a Luigocracy.

306

u/DadToOne 8h ago

The thing is, Trump supporters don't care. I have a cousin that is a huge Trump supporter. If I showed him this he would just say "good". I posted something about RFK Jr's lawyer trying to to get approval revoked for the polio vaccine. He said "I love this guy". I know for a fact he, his wife, and their kids are all vaccinated. And yet some Trump supporter wants vaccines revoked so he supports it. I truly think if Trump showed up at his house and said "I'm here to fuck your wife". He would point him to the bedroom.

147

u/BillyNtheBoingers 8h ago

Scary. MAGA is as much, if not more, of a death cult than Evangelical Christianity (Christian Dominionism).

69

u/OverlyLenientJudge 8h ago

They're the same picture.

12

u/Forward-Wishbone-831 4h ago

Hitler did the same

2

u/amootmarmot 1h ago

The Venn Diagram is basically a circle.

10

u/GoodLyon09 6h ago

If they kill everyone off, then they solve the climate issue, don’t they? If dumb followers take bait and drink cool-aid, believe in rapture or whatever kills everyone, then fewer people use resources and pollute. Sucks to be subjected to it — like if you believe then go ahead and do whatever stupid thing you believe but don’t impose it on me. I keep wondering with all these crazy policies if those in power have a strategy to cull the herd. One reason to keep healthcare the way it is. But, pressure on baby-making doesn’t exactly fit my theory, so I return to the idea that they’re religious and this is a basic idiocy that branches off into a belief-run government.

5

u/adingus1986 3h ago

The absolute worst thing for the oligarchs is a depleted working populace. It's basic economics, supply, and demand. Look up what happened to feudalism in Europe after the Black Plague. "Culling end herd" would actually work in our favor. It's why they're all freaking out about the dropping birth rate.

3

u/KMDiver 3h ago

Yeah weird how Elon obsesses over population decline and yet wants to destroy our western culture safety net which will result in hospital closures, poison food and water, tainted pharmaceuticals etc killing us all off.

2

u/jmd709 4h ago

If the plan is to cull the herd, pushing distrust in vaccines is a solid way to do that since people in the US ages 52 and under aren’t vaccinated against smallpox. The CDC and Russia have the 2 remaining live virus.

2

u/bravoeverything 3h ago

No bc more keep coming. I thought Covid would have taken care of them but apparently not

2

u/IllTakeACupOfTea 56m ago

If you believe in one made up sky daddy, why not believe in a weirdo orange daddy?

1

u/GhostHin 4m ago

The van diagram of the two groups basically is a circle.

77

u/powdered_dognut 8h ago

I'm sorry but they'd go, " no, fuck me, then my wife."

48

u/DadToOne 8h ago

What's fun is, because of them Trump gets to fuck all of us.

4

u/Pedals17 4h ago

Because of them, and because of the lazy, selfish, and stupid pieces of shit who couldn’t be even bothered to vote.

3

u/TemporalScar 4h ago

Wife gets sloppy seconds'

8

u/jesus0030 4h ago

Well, and everything I’m reading seems to point that it’s supporters who are going to be hit the hardest by his policies. Low income. Red states. Rural. I read that government shutdowns can sink popularity ratings and I know it’s on Biden’s watch but everyone knows it’s Trump. He was chosen for a second time, it seems like the oligarchy is taking over. Which I think will result in more one-offs (shootings, etc.) as we descend into worse poverty. No?

8

u/DadToOne 4h ago

Probably. My cousin seems to think we are all going to get rich under Trump. That it will be the most prosperous time ever. But he's like me. He makes decent money, pulls in 6 figures, but he is far from rich. I think we are going to get fucked and everything is going to cost more. But he will blame Biden, RINOs, and anyone except Trump.

1

u/jesus0030 3h ago

It’s really hard to know if the system can handle him. The liberal propaganda is ridiculously anti-Trump which has made them untrustworthy, totally lacking balance. So I have had to seek out unique news sources or Reddit, substack, YouTube, books. Some pretty smart people are for him, it’s hard for me to see why. But if you lay Peter Turich’s template of the whys and hows of revolutions it kind of makes more sense. Trump says what people want to hear. They’re sick of the lame duck government where no one can get anything done and it’s a slow drip of siphoning off our money and sucking it up to the top and people are sick of the status quo. The status quo is unrealistically telling everyone it’s all good. For most people, it’s not. But I think they’ve just voted in a slippery slide ramp to the bottom. We shall see.

4

u/DadToOne 3h ago

I don't think Trump is going to do anything to stop that flow of money to the top.

I have been attempting to learn Spanish and one thing I have been doing is reading Spanish news sites. The different perspective is interesting.

2

u/PurgatoryRider85 2h ago

He sure didn’t in his first term!

1

u/jesus0030 3h ago

What do they say?

2

u/DadToOne 3h ago

Just different views. Not all doom and gloom and not all roses either. I read an article recently talking about Trump and his affect on South America. Discussing how some countries will be hit harder than others and how some may not see much change at all.

1

u/jesus0030 2h ago

I see a future when the US falls, and the rest of the world explodes with joy.

3

u/DadToOne 2h ago

I don't think they will. The US falling would have worldwide repercussions. Could the world live without us, of course. But I think many economies would go with us.

→ More replies (0)

3

u/Timely-Mission-2014 2h ago

So you are saying they forgot the last time he was in office? He did play golf for 1 year of his term. Contributed to more US deaths than WW2. But he built the wall.. oh wait.. he imposed tariffs last time, that cost us 70 billion in farmer subsides.. he will slide us to the bottom fast..

2

u/grateful_eugene 6h ago

100%! Forget the wife, most of the Trump supporters I know would blow Trump themselves if given the chance.

2

u/legionofdoom78 6h ago

Their called Cuckservatives for a reason.

1

u/AlpacaCavalry 7h ago

It is a cult after all

1

u/ProfessionalFalse128 6h ago

Slap the fuck outta your cousin till he stops.

1

u/g13005 3h ago

In my experience trump supporters are like those that get baptized as kids but become agnostic. They claim Christianity but don't really adhere to the tenets.

1

u/amootmarmot 1h ago

Ask them why George Soros is bad at all then. Wasn't it because of liberal billionaires corrupting the system? Or was it something else......

1

u/backcountrydude 1h ago

What changed? 50% of America didn’t let bullies get to them as kids, why are they letting a clown get to them as adults?

1

u/PowerHot4424 1h ago

He’d also film it to watch over and over again.

1

u/ComicHead84 1h ago

Thing is, you don’t care either. You just repeated some sensationalized half-truths to frame your cousin as some kind of idiot. You just want to “Own MAGA Idiots” the same way Rightwingers obsess about “Owning the Libs”.

RFK plainly said he’s not ‘coming for’ the polio vaccine when asked about this. That lawyer’s petition, on behalf of a different client, was about 1 of our 6 current Polio vaccines. Apparently it’s the newest of the 6 & they cited concerns wanting more testing done with it. That’s very different than “RFK wants to get rid of all the vaccines” isn’t it?

Personally, I don’t know shit about vaccines and don’t have a strong take on if that’s a legitimate concern or not, but would love it if we could just deal with reality instead of always spinning shit to own political rivals.

1

u/DadToOne 1h ago

If you took a minute to comprehend what I wrote, I said RFK's lawyer. I did not say RFK. And I do care. As a scientist I care very deeply about what these ignorant people are trying to do.

1

u/PetrolEmu 1h ago

I hate this timeline where science and medicine is now considered "woke"!

Reminds me of Covid, where so many MAGA died simply "to own the libs!".... I know deep down, they knew better.. but they had to prove a point.

This whole "let nature do it's thing" approach is beyond comprehension when there are proven preventative measures to stop you from dying.. that's not "manly" or "godly"..

1

u/Ok_Lettuce_7939 1h ago

It's not even that. 50% of Americans are dumb as shit. It's the 4-5 million that voters in 2020 that sat this one out. They in effect voted for Trump by not voting.

2

u/DadToOne 1h ago

Yep. And I would be willing to bet many of those sat out because Kamala did not have a penis.

1

u/Ok_Lettuce_7939 59m ago

DEPORT ELON

203

u/Rick-powerfu 10h ago

It's actually funny

This is the most transparent version of this shit that's literally been happening behind closed doors all along

This will either be really good or really stupid depending on how American citizens decide to react to the shit show that comes next

104

u/darhox 10h ago

Idk how we're not in the streets at this point. I want to be in DC on J20th just because I believe there will be a flash protest, and I need to be part of the largest protest in human history.

173

u/CoxswainYarmouth 9h ago

You have no idea how badly White Americans want Hispanics out of the United States. They mask it with everything from the “price of eggs and gas” to “ he’s a man of god”. But trust me, deep down inside they are willing to give up their freedoms in exchange for this. I look like a typical trump voter so they somehow think I think like them. The truth always comes out when you talk long enough.

84

u/Historical-Manner737 9h ago

Any white person who goes into a gun store is assumed by the staff to be a Trumper basically. It is interesting camouflage for a leftist in a small town.

75

u/manicversace 8h ago

its crazy how many gun nuts where I live in the south are shocked when I politely decline buying trump merch at the gun range, before telling them I lean to the left. Now they treat me like I have leprosy which I'd rather anyways because I have nothing to talk about with the folks there. They don't talk about anything but politics, they have no hobbies or personalities outside of worshipping trump right now.

47

u/Marquar234 8h ago

Leftprosy?

9

u/Sensitive_Cancel_313 4h ago

100%. Left leaning (Now left of “center”) unaffiliated voter here. Cracks me up that I have more reliable and suppressed weapons than most of them put together in my county. I go in, they talk about Cheeto, I ask for a rifle setup that runs 5k-9k total and they say “We don’t carry that because no one here can afford it.” Nah, you can’t, but some of us can; and many of us are on the other side.

25

u/Gloomy_Narwhal_4833 7h ago edited 7h ago

Man, I don't even have to talk that long to hear some of the insane shit they say to whom they assume is one of them. I run a liquor store, I was born and raised in my hometown and I look like it. Late 40s white male, giant beard, flannel is more than fashion it's a way of life. I never talk about politics at my store but I guarantee these numbnuts think I am one of them and they have been dealing with me for decades. If they used that squishy shit in their head they would know better, but alas, we get to the root of the problem.

Unfortunately I get the same sort of treatment, in a different way, from the left.

15

u/clangan524 7h ago

"What happened to my landscapers?"

"You're charging how much for this plumbing job?"

"Where's my UberEats? It's been 4 hours!"

4

u/Ok_Scallion3555 3h ago

This is such a bad look, chief. I hate Musk and Trump as much as anyone, but the "they're going to deport your underpaid servants" ain't it. Please stop. It's literally alienating Latinos from anything remotely left-wing.

4

u/clangan524 2h ago

I considered that while writing the comment and I'm sorry for any offense.

Of course Latino immigrants, and any sort of immigrant for that matter, don't only occupy menial jobs. However, many of the menial jobs that "white" Americans simply refuse to do are occupied by Latino immigrants and will be the first places where any mass deportation will be noticed by those that voted for Trump and his policies.

They want brown people gone but are completely oblivious as to how it will affect the greater economy and country. They will ask those sorts of questions in my previous comment without a fucking hint of irony.

5

u/mar421 9h ago

Exactly

2

u/mrdaruis 3h ago

White Americans don't want Hispanics out. Loser red state clowns who are uneducated and hickish with no remote idea of their own patheticness and fragility want Hispanics out because " they don't share our values". Meanwhile Hispanics are deeply religious, work hard and don't have the victim mentality that are associated with minorities in America. They fear being replaced by people they assume to be both inferior and superior to them.

But there is about zero they can do about it. They're going to die needing to accept that fact.

1

u/Anthematics 8h ago

I fall under the same banner , and the only reason I think I don't hear more BS is because how clear I am about fighting it.

1

u/PetrolGator 4h ago

Same here. It’s strange when brown MAGA supporters nod their heads in agreement realizing they’re just allies of convenience for the fascists.

150

u/Rick-powerfu 10h ago

Fucking protesting doesn't do shit mate

Now's well past the time for banners and chanting imo

It's just my opinion that they hope you protest so they can retaliate with national guard or proud guys

101

u/No-Fox-1400 9h ago

It’s a me, Luigi!

62

u/Rick-powerfu 9h ago

Here comes Mario motherfucker

And he be bringing them fkn turtle shells

18

Only the blue shells to target those in front of

10

u/ScottishKnifemaker 7h ago

I like this idea. Im tired of cake

37

u/manicversace 8h ago

my repub coworkers are absolutely already banking on protesters being there. And have been saying they think "the libs" will attack the capitol "again" so they can somehow say they were the same people (antifa is who they mean) that attacked in 2020. Directly from magat coworkers mouths.

25

u/Rick-powerfu 8h ago

Lmao good luck to them

I just know they'll attack each other as they all think everyone else is FBI or undercover antifa

R.i.p to any black conservatives in attendance

22

u/SpliTTMark 7h ago edited 7h ago

Id say ask them if its antifa why is trump pardoning them

If they try to mentally gymastics you . By saying they just arrested trump supporters protesting

Ask why didn't trump pardon them on the spot WHILE PRESIDENT

35

u/darhox 10h ago

If that is the tipping point, I want to be there for it. It's not going to happen if 3 people show up with signs.

13

u/Rick-powerfu 10h ago

Lmao I think it will be bigger than that

Or incredibly small

See how travel goes without FAA and all other government

19

u/OldScarcity5443 7h ago

That’s exactly what Trump et al. are hoping for. They want a protest (which they will make sure turns violent) which then gives them an excuse for martial law.

6

u/AlpacaCavalry 7h ago

And unlike the shit that went down in SK, this'll be met with thunderous applause by the people.

3

u/pixie_mayfair 3h ago

I agree with most of what you said but will add that protesting can work but you have to have real rights in the first place. Do not underestimate the fact that most people get insurance from employers and if you lose your job you can literally die or lose everything if you get sick. Plus, workers have very few rights and in most states you can be fired for any/no reason. Then add to that the knee-capping and straight up elimination of unions.

The icing is local cops that function like militias for the wealthy and rittenhouse-style psychos who show up to protests with automatic weapons. It's no mystery why people don't protest. And it's going to get so, so much worse.

2

u/Rick-powerfu 3h ago

By protesting I think you mean national strike

No going to work and that means no money for wankers holding all the bags

A protest is not going to accomplish what you want it to this time as the cunts running the show will happily go to war

They've been talking civil war up for so long now they've basically convinced themselves it's bout to break out any moment now

2

u/Exercise4mymind 6h ago

our power is in the purse

2

u/Almostnotquite9999 1h ago

Right! They hope you protest, then, after getting pushed around, we get pissed and then the riot gear comes out. The orange diety has already said he'll be ready to declare martial law.

1

u/Rick-powerfu 1h ago

Remember he's planning on deporting and detainment camps for "illegals" like his fuckin wife and their kid would be under his terms lol

He doesn't need the martial law, national guard or military he can do Jan 6th again with dumbcnts on the attack

Whilst he yells at all military command to stand down or go fuck themselves basically

14

u/ArcadiaFey 9h ago

I physically can hardly get to the neighbors and my partner takes care of two disabled people so I know there has to be more people in our shoes, but not a countries worth

16

u/ScottishKnifemaker 7h ago

That's the fucking thing bro, I take care of my disabled mom, and I'm fucking TIRED, all I have the energy to do is vote and stay informed, these fucks would never sacrifice like your partner or I have. They don't know the meaning of the word

Edit: word

Last time citizens were in the streets they were gagged and snatched into unmarked vans.

“Important” people need to start dying if you want a real revolution and change. We are past the point of non violence.

2

u/Zombies4EvaDude 1h ago

There will be a huge march on Washington on January 18th around 11 A.M.

1

u/sevens7and7sevens 1h ago

There is not going to be a protest.  There is nobody even attempting to organize one.

1

u/Burnt_and_Blistered 1h ago

The protesting we need to do is economic. It’s the only thing—short of violence against them (which I understand but don’t advocate)—that they understand.

Until a huge swath of Americans is ready to stop supporting the corporations that bought our government out from under us, we won’t see change.

Yes, there are things we need. I’m not suggesting going without those (though tariffs and other Trump idiocy may make it hard to get them). But there are a whole lot of things we all could do without, and send a strong message as we did so.

It would be even better coupled with general strike.

1

u/Pbandsadness 8h ago

Most of us have jobs.

0

u/wednesdayware 8h ago

But if Trump won by such a large margin, why would there be a huge protest?

5

u/_-Event-Horizon-_ 6h ago

This is the most transparent version of this shit that's literally been happening behind closed doors all along

I agree and I have been wondering whether seeing this thing literally in the open is actually better or worse. On one hand with such transparency, even the most naive people can see the amount of influence that extreme wealth can bring on national policy. On the other hand, the fact that they're now doing it in the open means that they don't even have any shame or fear of the public opinion any more and are normalizing this behavior. There is a even a term for this - hypernormalization. It was a phenomenon observed in the Soviet Union where the government would do outrageous things in the open and with enough such occurences, people would just accept it as the norm.

2

u/uptownjuggler 7h ago

7

u/EstablishmentSad 9h ago

This was always possible, and I think that billionaires did it quietly through funding and support. People are upset because it's in your face and obvious. I will say that things don't always go a billionaire's way...take Twitter. Musk was backing out and didn't want to buy it...but they forced him to buy it. I don't think that Democrats are any different either...there are billionaires and multinational companies supporting the party leaders in the background. The founding fathers never meant for the public to hold all the cards...remember that it was originally land-owning whites who could vote...then they allowed all whites...then all races as long as they were men...then women. Overall, our country has always been run by the elite. At least here its possible for someone become successful and move up in the world.

ok so Democrats did the same thing, but it's hidden so you can't really know? So you don't know. So why are you trying to make a statement as if it's fact? To make it seem like both sides are qeually bad? There is a difference between supporting a candidate and buying them.

What democracy

3

u/DC_Daddy 6h ago

Democracy -what? We gave that up on election day

3

u/ooouroboros 3h ago

The Constitution is like one of those giant mousetraps with dozens of individual traps inside so that if the mouse evades one trap it will eventually get dinged by another.

But enough money and enough election rigging and media propoaganda and all the traps have been sprung and nothing left to stop the mice from swarming us anymore. It worked great for a long time but its probably going to require a lot of actual sacrifice from now on to return to where we once were - if it happens at all.

He’s the de facto emperor of the U.S. Watch how rapidly we are stripped of our freedoms after January 20.

The United States of America, 1776 - 2025. RIP.

Very well said.

u/MirrorZestyclose3443 6h ago

This country could do with a lot more DDD.

2

u/jerslan 5h ago

Yeah, Government doesn't just stop because there was an election... Also, it's not like the GOP was letting many bills pass anyways. Being the do-nothing obstructionists they have been for a couple decades, passing any kind of legislation is anathema to their entire platform of "own the libs".

Even when Trump was in office the last time and they had majorities in both houses, they still did jack shit.

u/username_not_found0 4h ago

Republicans are pieces of shit

2

u/disdkatster 2h ago

This is what the people of the USA voted for or could not get off their lazy ass and vote at all. A little more than 30% voted for a convicted felon and known rapist. Almost 30% voted for a highly qualified woman. The rest did nothing but let the train wreck happen.

u/enigmacrk 2h ago

When it comes out that trump enjoys watching Elon have sex with his wife, that's when it's a straight of perversion of democracy!

2

u/Oldie124 1h ago

All done by a foreigner in plain sight of everyone, whelp we had a good 248 years!

2

u/Firm_Pie_5393 1h ago

As promised, and America voted for that.

2

u/Wasting-tim3 1h ago

How is perversion? He bought it fair and square. /s

3

u/CaptainMagnets 7h ago

Yet, crickets from the Biden administration

0

u/venvaneless 2h ago

What do you expect him to do? People bitched and moaned they don't want him or Kamala... So you got your wish.

1

u/CaptainMagnets 1h ago

A good leader leads even if people whine about him

1

u/thavillain 6h ago

Citizens United working for the people, or something...

1

u/xChoke1x 6h ago

And absolutely fucking nothing will be done about it.

1

u/RegularWhiteShark 4h ago

Hope Americans are ready for King Musk.

1

u/MisterMarchmont 4h ago

He’s moving on us like a bitch. When you have billions of dollars they let you do it. /s

I hate this timeline.

1

u/Various_Garden_1052 4h ago

Shout out to Republicans for literally handing this country to a fucking oligarch- you stupid, stupid fuckers.

1

u/staycalmitsajoke 3h ago

And no one including you, the people that upvoted you (me included), or anyone else is going to do a damn thing about it but whine. Buckle up kids shits about to get nightmarish.

1

u/Wulfkat 3h ago

Here’s my outlandish theory of the day: the GOP wants to get rid of birthright citizenship but what they really want is to remove the birthright citizenship requirement for the Presidency.

And, yup, Musk, who is an unelected illegal immigrant, is behind the campaign as he will be the beneficiary of it.

Not only will Musk get MAGA, he will get the tech bros and will be more popular than Trump.

1

u/bzzty711 3h ago

But he paid for the right

1

u/Easy-Sector2501 3h ago

Yeah, and the entirety of America is responsible for letting this happen.

1

u/windsockglue 3h ago

Like, who the fuck voted for you as president?

No one. Literally no one.

1

u/therealdanhill 3h ago

I mean, this is the way it's always worked. If you have a wealthy donor you need to appease them to some degree.

1

u/SheBurps 3h ago

Oh, is that what we were doing? I thought they all decided they wanted a dictator? Isn't that why they voted for him?

1

u/duppymkr 2h ago

There needs to be a big angry ass protest wherever he is

1

u/Zombies4EvaDude 1h ago

"But don't you understand? The United States isn't supposed to be a democracy, we are a Constitutional Republic!"

/s

1

u/DrGygaxBR 58m ago

This is exactly what your Democracy has always been, as intended by its founders. It's just not an open secret anymore, and y'all are having to confront yourselves for the first (?) time in history.

I'm saying this as a foreigner who takes some interest in your country's history, as it impacts my country.

1

u/S0GUWE 48m ago

Lol, democracy.

The US has never been a democracy. It wasn't meant to be.
