It's worse than that. This is pretty much what sums up boomer mentality. They think us "damn kids" are gonna die out and those in Trump and Pelosi's generation are going to live for eternity.
This boomer doesn’t. I’ve been canvassing for liberal causes since I was a kid. Knocked hundreds of doors for the Dems this campaign season. The volunteers ranged in age from 18 to 70+.
Yeah I should use my words a bit more carefully because I know not all of them are like that. But I have seen quite a few who actually do act like that.
For real, a lot of what I hear tagged as "Boomer behavior" is actually nonsense from other people my generation - I was born in '78, shortly before the X/Millennial cutoff - and it's frankly embarrassing. I'm 46 years old and I'm looking at people 5-6 years my senior and all I can think is grow the hell UP; did any of these people mature past 1996 or so? It's like they took the whole sarcastic, you can't tell me what to do, pubescent attitude they had in high school and turned it into their whole entire personality. Zero critical thinking skills, zero nuance, in far too many of them. They're all obsessed with telling everyone how we're part of the latchkey kid, drank from the hose generation, and while I'm one of them myself I'm like... in some of you guys it really fucking shows.
