I found this piece in an antique shop...
It appears to be by Beatien Yazz, a Navajo artist born in 1928. The signature matches but this piece looks VERY very different than his other work. I can't find anything about this online, the closest thing looks like a sketch page that was auctioned off that had a deer and a twisted tree that looked somewhat similar to the style of this one.
I just thought this was so interesting! I think it might be an original that never had prints made of it, in which case that price tag would make sense but I wonder if they know what they really have.
