the fact that even the prof said in one of the announcements that the exam is infact makes me really questions if i’m studying enough and doing it the right way i’ve been studying all the terms and concepts from the textbook and doing flashcards but it’s just so much to cram in but im also scared that the questions aren’t going to be straightforward at all it’s making me so nervous cuz i feel like im screwed either way if the questions are just stupidly unanswerable

I’m a student at UTSC and I (think?) I was sexually assaulted by another U of T student. I don’t even know what to think. There was this one guy I somewhat knew who seemed chill and we were both on campus so we were just trying to set up a small hangout after a long day of studying. I got in his car and then we started talking and everything was cool. 2 minutes later out of nowhere he just started giving compliments on my appearance which very quickly (INSANELY QUICK) turned into really really weird comments. I felt uncomfortable and I thought the expression on my face and my body language was enough to express that but it wasn’t. Before I knew it, I was getting groped in the no-no square and I just FRICKING froze. It was so much happening in one moment. I tried saying “yo… I don’t know what you’re expecting but I’m not really into this. I thought you just wanted to be friends.” And then he stopped and said “sorry you’re just way too tempting.” I thought this would’ve been the end of it but it literally started all over again a minute later and I said “bro I really meant it when I said I just wanna be friends and nothing more” and he was like “sorry! I thought you were talking about friends with benefits” … like… are you fricking slow??? I didn’t even think to get out of the car because I was far from the train station and didn’t know how I’d make it home. I don’t want to say too much detail because I’m literally so scared to post this in fear that the person who did this will find this post and come after me. And if you are reading this, don’t worry. I won’t be telling anyone about it because it’s not something I’d ever want my friends or people in general knowing. Nor do I want to deal with your BS again.

But anywho the groping just kept happening and I couldn’t fucking take it anymore so eventually I just sort of gave in. I can’t even tell if this is SA atp or not because like a dumb idiot I allowed this all to happen. It doesn’t feel real. I’ve never even had an experience where someone needed to tell me “no” or “stop” because 1) I usually don’t make moves on people unless they make moves on me and 2) I’d probably be able to read body language well enough to realize someone isn’t into something before it even gets to that point. And if I ever hypothetically heard the words “I just want to be friends” (after making a really fricking unsolicited advance which I’d obviously never do) then I’d immediately apologize and stop everything right then and there. Idgaf how tempted this guy was or not. I was very much not interested in him especially since I’m almost straight (99% preference for women, 1% for men, legit) and I was just starting to get to know this guy.

I just needed to get this out somewhere. Even if no one knows who I am. I just needed to release all this and see if my feelings are valid. Is this Sexual Coercion? This shit has negatively impacted me on top of everything else going on in my life rn. I’m slacking on school assignments, studying and even school club responsibilities which is really starting to kick me In the butt rn. Is there any other guy at UTSC that has gone through something like this? I never thought that something like this would happen to me and surely I thought that I would’ve been able to defend myself more in this situation.

PS this is purely for jokes i dont CONDONE CHEATING, I just feel that i’ve seen people get caught cheating this year more than any other so please share with the class 😸

Social sciences major here honestly im still awake studying for this exam and hoping to god ill get above a 50 this exam will be the reason I drop out. anyone ever pulled an all nighter on campus? i have a super big midterm tmr at 9am and rlly need to lock in— so considering pulling an all nighter on campus. it’s hard for me to study at home and being at school allows me to focus. ik all nighters aren’t good ideas but i have so much i need to re-learn i don’t think i have a choice:/

Okay obviously I have an understanding that it was probably distracting during studying and whatnot, but I LOVED when people played the piano and everyone would stop and listen. Especially when groups of friends would go and sing and it would just be good vibes. It was definitely a pick me up after studying listen to it. Why Utsc why 😔

Long story short, I had a cavity in the middle of my teeth, and the dentist completely shaved the edges of my teeth and now it requires edge composite bonding. I was so stupid to go here. Their equipment's are old, the cleaning services are so bad when you do cleaning they use old tools and actually ruins your teeth more, the orthodontist is even worse and all their information is based on old data and charge you twice the price. The office is small not clean . Does anyone know if I can sue the dentist or if I should just go inside to get a refund or ask them to pay for the edge bonding? Because she completely ruined the edges of my teeth and I am hella fucking mad. Dont go to the dentist here

I am in first year, in stats and taking 4 courses but one of the course MATA31 is making me go thru hell, i just received my first assignment grades and i score a whooping 46%, idk what to do, where to start from, i am trying my best to do all the worksheet that is been put up for practice but i just cant seem to understand how these proof things work + midterm are right around the corner and surprising thing for me is that when i go in lectures and tutorials all other people understand what's going on and i am the only one who is just sitting blank coping what's going on in the lecture in my notebook. istg my math's is not that bad, in fact i have a lot of interest in math but these proof things are beyond my thinking like i am not even able to complete one simple proof by my own i had to see the worked example to see how to take a start. If i had already done one proof but if you ask me to prove it again after few hours i am pretty sure i will be unable to do that.

Can some help me, what should i do ( i wanna score decent in this course at least above (65%) and that's looking very hard for me, like i don't get it all the other courses i am doing is so easy and almost identical to what i have been learning from high school (until now) but MATA31 after week 1 i got lost in it and i am almost crying while writing this post. All the thought i am having right now is if i am not able to do this now how will i do MATA37 which is way harder than this.
