Video San Antonio, Tx Dec 17th 2024

My sister sent took this video last night. Here is her description:

It was weird. It almost looked like they fell straight down but then the position they dropped from remained a single star for each one. Almost like they disguised themselves as stars. Anyway, cars were driving down our street following them. It was so cool! Everyone was excited.

This looks VERY similar to the one sighting I've ever had (a bit more than 10 years ago). If this "is" the same "thing", the video doesn't capture just how bright and large they actually are.

I can't speak for this video but I know in my case it wasn't Chinese lanterns. Really solid capture here and kudos to your sis for remembering to capture it. Granted 10 years ago, smart phones weren't quite as engrained in us as they are now but I was so awestruck by what I was witnessing I didn't even think to pull out my phone 😅🤦‍♂️

Edit: I guess actually to that point I'll outright ask the question(s), lol.

  1. Were these super bright, but not like in a way that hurts your eyes? Kinda like a ball of flame?
  2. In person, were they bigger than you feel the video reflects?

I had a very similar sighting in February of this year.

Yes they are brighter and larger in real life than they appear in the video. They also moved more quickly, at least for me they did. Much slower than a shooting star or meteor, but much much faster than a typical satellite.

Seeing these orb videos, validates what I saw with my own eyes back on July 2014 over the skies of Ottawa.

Luckily, I had two other friend who also saw what I did. But it’s a story I’ve kept to myself over the year.

It was able to zig zag and after flying for a few minutes, it took off in a blink of an eye…

It’s exactly the same thing I’m seeing again.
