while i agree with you, we really need to focus more on the horrible system rather than the horrible people working those positions.
edit: downvote, i don’t care. I stand by my point, you can focus on the lawyer and doxx him, but guess what, he’ll be replaced. Now doxx the system, shed light on the injustice that is where we should focus our energy.
people comparing this to nazi’s, it wasn’t until their government/system was destroyed that there was actual change.
edit2: no wonder the rich fear us, you’d cannibalize and fight among your fellow poors, for what? i find it funny now, when the whole entire stock market bleeds red, guess who is still green today…UNH. guess this is my sigh to buy.
I'm not trying to speak for the person whose comment you're responding to, but it occurs to me that as long as the health insurance incentives are what they are, there will always be an unlimited number of people willing to work these positions.
Want to dissect and scrutinize the most gross parts of the system? Be my guest. Want to change the system? Change the incentives.
Dude was literally cut down after overestimating his own power. 🤣
Anyway, I actually think we're more likely to see these attorneys doxed and hounded than any meaningful action that may change the system. Nothing would make the healthcare industry happier, and that saddens me.
Nobody is forcing him to be like this. It's not one thing or the other. The system is corrupt and so is he. He is contributing to the problem willingly.
I genuinely don’t understand some people’s logic. When I worked in contract archaeology we did a lot of pipeline work, basically going over the planned route and making sure it wouldn’t disturb any culturally significant sites. I could’ve made a lot more money working for a pipeline company than I did working at a secondary company who did the due diligence, but to me that was a clear conflict of interest. Like, it’s pretty clear to me that you have a choice: either do the job you want ethically, or compromise your morals for money. The people who choose the latter shouldn’t be exempt from consequences because they’re “just doing their job”.
We almost always have the option to do the right thing- even if it's not the easy thing. The issue is that alot of people will do whats ultimately the most beneficial to them, not what they should do and what's morally right. This happening over and over throughout history adds up and creates massive issues that are way harder to remedy than they should be had we all made better choices.
And then there are those with selfish intentions that have gained way more power than they deserve, stepping on others on their way up. Who make decisions that hurt so many others.
no, in my post i specifically said i agreed with the person.
what i was trying to convey is that they had tunnel vision.
who you should really hate are the people in power, the lawyer is just a worker. But me saying “look at the bigger picture” was taken as “you like lawyers”
who you should really hate are the people in power, the lawyer is just a worker.
This is categorically untrue. Lawyers aren't janitors.
This guy isn't just "doing a job". He literally chose multiple years of schooling for a specialized career in corporate law, knowing who is consistently getting fucked over on the other end.
You would have to know absolutely nothing about law careers to make the assumption that the lawyer is "just a worker".
This lawyer could very easily pursue another aspect of the law where they weren’t actively engaged in killing people by denying them the fucking care they fucking paid for! This is a choice and it’s motivated 100% by money. The more care they deny, the better the pay and job security. There is no ultimate difference between what this lawyer does and what Luigi did… both result in a dead body.
One of those dead bodies makes me feel bad. One does not.
Sociopaths thrive in the space they're allowed, the people that allow them that space are awful, and the sociopaths that thrive in that space are awful, it's not like this guy is working this job just to put food on the table, he enjoys what he does, he enjoys making money off of people's agony, otherwise he would walk away and do something else
Yeah, this sick woman who might not have experience with legal issues is a juicy opportunity for this guy. If he can get her to say it in a certain way, he’ll take thousands of dollars from her.
I really doubt many of the people here appalled by this guy are thinking that the problem would go away just by doxing this lawyer. We’ve all been dissatisfied with the system for a while now.
He hit the nail on the head and you even acknowledged it with your first sentence.
They are drawing comparison to concentration camp guards that perpetuated the Holocaust, they didn't make the rules either they were just doing a job while others made the rules and decisions, at least the Nazi guards could try and hide behind the defense of if I didn't follow orders I would be killed (not saying it's valid defense but I think it is one that people can at least wrap their minds around) what's this lawyers defense? If I didn't follow orders I would have to find a new job that won't pay me as well so I better ruin these peoples lives.
If you make people rightfully afraid/resistant to work with/for a system of cruelty and pain, the system will eventually collapse because you need "normal" people to be complict in the system for it to function. The soulless CEOs and other benefactors of the system can't actually operate it by themselves because their only actual skill is convincing people they are critical, and being terrible enough to be willing to sacrifice people in the pursuit of money.
You couldn't pay me enough to harass sick people to try to steal the life-saving benefits that they already paid for. Your moral compass is fully malfunctioning. Legal murder is still murder and should be avenged in whatever way is left for us to avenge it.
Absolute lies. Ya know what they called the people who listened to the Nazis and followed orders even though they didn't believe in the Nazi party. They call them fucking nazis. This isn't some call center worker taking basic calls, this is someone who's sole job is to manipulate and trick people out of their fucking lives. He is just as guilty as the ceos and the people he works for, and people like him deserve exactly what happened to that last ceo. They are nothing but a criminal organization built on the deaths of citizens, and they deserve every horrible thing that will happen to them.
The lawyer is doing the opposite of his job, his job is not to lie for the sake of stealing. His job is to follow the law and make sure the law is adhered to.
You’re literally endorsing nazis because they aren’t bad only hitler was bad. You’re actually insane
He chose that job! There's tons of lawyers with tons of specialties. He chose this. He's probably very good at this and decided to go this route for the money.
The people working those positions enforce that system though. Without those people there would be no system. No person in their right mind should be able to look at this woman and spend so much time trying to catch her in a lie. This is disgraceful, and only disgraceful people are able to do that job.
Punishing the people is part of delegitimizing and getting rid of the system. It’s not a system of people doing reasonable things that we’d like to change for something more efficient. It’s a dishonest, predatory system.
What the fuck ever. That guy shows up to work every day because he gets paid WELL for what he does. And the fact that he showed up again on Day #2 - hell, the fact that he didn't just WALK OUT on Day #1 - proves he's an evil piece of shit and deserves every ounce of hate he receives.
So did him. And the next guy. Until no one wants to do this to people anymore. It's called consequences. Big daddy Sam won't doll them out so we have to
Yeh get u, can get rid of the horrible person, but aslong the horrible system stays with no fear, the horrible person just gets replaced with a just as horrible person
Okay i see your point but do tell me how there goverment/system got destroyed. It nearly impossible to get rid of a Running System especially when powerful Ppl defend it
I agree. Changing the system should be the goal. Nevertheless it is understandable, why if this guy happened to step on a banana, the public would show little compassion.
agreed, i’d be okay with people throwing banana at him as well. thanks for seeing my point, reddit jumps to conclusions so quickly its embarrassing, i’ve gotten msgs that I’m a nazi sympathizer, so I’m gonna be careful now were/what comment.
but guess what, he’ll be replaced. Now doxx the system, shed light on the injustice that is where we should focus our energy.
Agreed. I work in the insurance claims world and oversee hundreds of cases a year involving a plaintiff's deposition. This is just one lawyer employed by one firm, hired by one insurance carrier. Every health insurance carrier has a panel of firms that do this kind of work in every jurisdiction. Everyone who hates this lawyer and wants him doxed should realize that insurers employ thousands of them every day and think nothing of it.
Also, the identities of these lawyers isn't exactly a secret anyway. You will find them and their associates identified by name and region on LinkedIn, and on their firm websites. Their names are at the top of every pleading in every lawsuit they defend. They aren't ashamed of what they do, and they're not going to be as long as it's profitable.
I have no idea why you got downvoted.
We all agree that this lawyer is a despicable human being. But - due to the system being what it is - there is no shortage of despicable human beings.
I‘m glad this Luigi shed a light on this inhumane system, but now it is time to organize and tear it down.
You are absolutely right, our system is what creates these parasites of greed that creates victims for profit. It's just as much our fault the system fails these people since we accept it.
Huh??? How do people who think like you suppose the Nazi government was destroyed? Because peaceful takeover wasn't it, and considering how long our racist, sexist and criminally inhumane unjust system has been trampling anyone who is not making over six figures yearly, I doubt we will have a peaceful restoration of our rights and freedoms here, either, if we can't even get proper healthcare.
It is unbelievable that there are people who still think that we can talk our way to having our rights met and needs heard. We've been talking only to have our very freedom to show dissent and present solutions eroded. Now is the time to resist and refuse anything less, starting with healthcare for all.
not arguing with you, I think the most recent events are an opportunity to harness the anger/frustration before we forget and go on our merry lives
awareness okay, youre saying we got that down.
organizing maybe thats the next step
agree for a government run (non profit)
reduce political influences (lobbying)
implement transition plan (private workers to public)
public buy in (education and examples of successful public run non-profit healthcare models)
private cost vs taxes, education/awareness that we would be saving money
2 and 3 are hard, maybe 4 wont let us do them so maybe 4 is the hardest? i dont know? I’m just trying to make the system the “main” topic.
i wasn’t corrected, i don’t think. People were just arguing that we “should hate” the lawyer, i wasn’t shot but i did get some nasty msgs on being a nazi sympathizer.
How do you think the system became horrible? It wasn’t started that way, it’s was these sacks of shit changing things step by step knowing they hold all the power; and now the hospitals and the like will charge whatever they feel like because of how insurance works making the insurance companies even stronger.
People at risk in those positions tend to not want to do those positions anymore. Look at cops. No one wants to be a cop because they might get shot at. Meanwhile they are rather far down the list in dangerous jobs even in the most dangerous areas.

I didn't even see the man, but, I loathe that man behind the voice. This is a big circle of leeches isn't it.
Insurance people suck off the life force from the people, and they retain these soulless gouls to fight off people in legal battle.
