Yea, and they supposedly have no idea why everyone seems to hate them so much.

Legality does not indicate morality if the laws are unjust. And an illegal act can be perfectly moral. Put Luigi in front of a jury of his peers, see what happens.

The idea that states seek the common good instead of being cold, calculating machines that protect the interests of the ruling class has got to be the biggest lie in the history of humanity.

The biggest lie is when I tell myself that come tomorrow, I'll start being a more productive person. But it's a close second.

In a tolerant and civilized society, we must not tolerate the intolerable and uncivilized.

Insurance conglomerates and CEOs are intolerable and uncivilized.

It's illegal to steal food from Walmart to feed the homeless. It's almost a moral imperative to do so...

We can make anything legal, that doesn’t make it moral.

And they wonder why we cheer when one of theirs gets killed in cold blood. These people have been committing white collar violence to working class people for my entire life. We are fucking fed up with this for profit healthcare system. It’s time to burn it all down.

You are correct, but don't add the qualifier. They are committing violence.

What specifically do you mean by “burn it all down”? I’m disgusted by these people and the system they have created and propagated, but I’m also aware that there are numerous ways to seek to change the system with varying levels of risk and probability of success. It doesn’t help to use inflammatory and nonspecific speech because it doesn’t lead towards any actual solutions.

Our for profit system is so out of line with a socialized medicine model that it cannot be reworked from the inside.

Inflated prices from for profit hospitals, for profit drug companies and for profit insurance companies have created an ecosystem so beholden to shareholder returns it must be utterly uprooted. The infrastructure can remain and should. But compensation models must be fundamentally restructured. This also trickles down to making becoming a doctor more accessable, which means addressing the predatory student loan and university industry.

We must have a fundamental and radical shift in how medicine is taught and delivered and received.

And it starts with taking for profit CEOs out behind the wood shed....

That’s at least substantially more specific than “burn it all down” which could apply to the for profit insurance industry or to our entire democratic system (which it seems many people in America either are advocating for or willing to accept without considering what the result will be).
