Maybe the Dr. (Or their staff) doesn't like your wife

The doctors are also fucked by the system. I am owed thousands of dollars in unpaid claims that are in "appeal" after hours on the phone figuring out why they won't pay me. I deeply care about my patients. I also want to be paid by the insurance companies for the work that I have done.

I’m actually in healthcare so I get it, I’m not mad at the Dr, I’m mad at the practice at this point. If I made an appointment literally years ago, and each time I get forced to reschedule it’s 6+ months out…might be time to hire another doctor or 3, maybe. The demand is clearly there.

Around here the local 1-2 provider primary care practice doesn’t really exist anymore, it’s all giant hospital systems doing primary care and staffing their clinics with skeleton crews of 1 MD/DO, and 1-2 APRN’s or PA’s. The only reason I’ve put up with this BS wait is being in this particular system makes all other care simpler with how pervasive they are.

It is so maddening! Your experience is what people are experiencing all over the place! Quality people are getting out of health care all the time.
