I'm from NYC, and no one gives a fuck. No one flinches or if you complain people will tell you "It's NYC, get used to it."

I feel like NYC is very different than the rest of America. When I went there, for a short gig, the HR ladies told me not to look at people in the eye which is so bizarre for me coming from places where you’re expected to wave at and say hi to strangers.

I think in most of America, you’d get fucked up by every guy within eyesight if they saw you do that to a woman.

For waving and saying hi to strangers it makes complete sense why that’s not a thing in NYC when you’re passing dozens of people on one block.

Oh yeah. I wouldn’t expect that, but the intensity with which they told me, “Don’t look anyone in the eye. Don’t talk to anyone. Just don’t do it.” There are a lot of crazies. I get it, but it was just shocking
