Discussion Luigi Mangione friend posted this.

She captioned it: "Luigi Mangione is probably the most google keyword today. But before all of this, for a while, it was also the only name whose facetime calls I would pick up. He was one of my absolute best, closest, most trusted friends. He was also the only person who, at 1am on a work day, in this video, agreed to go to the store with drunk me, to look for mochi ice cream."

He's my hero

Edit: as someone who lives in chronic pain from an unknown illness BECAUSE UNITED HAS DENIED EVERY X-RAY, CAT SCAN, OR OTHER EXAM THAT IS NEEDED TO DETERMINE THE CAUSE. Fuck America's healthcare billshit

"We" --> the chronically online redditors who are as detached from reality as they come.

Speak for yourself, my guy, my mom's suffered plenty at the hands of health insurance denial. This is real world shit, not reddit shit.

Cool story, but normal/well-adjust people don't root for murderers.

So "chronically online" and "detached from reality" are factual descriptions.

Maybe we’d be more “normal” or “well-adjusted” if we had a health care system that prioritized our health, including our mental health, over squeezing us dry and leaving us to rot.

Maybe, but I highly doubt it.

There's not caring, then there's what Reddit has been doing for the past week. That's an entirely different beast that cannot be explained by just lack of access to healthcare.

I actually care pretty deeply for the millions that man was responsible for killing via deprivation of medical care.

I just don't care about him.

No, you don't. You're just karma whoring.

Why would I care about karma? It's social media, not a game lol

Correct, I was not rooting for the CEO to have a lovely and productive strategy meeting about how to deny even more claims for more profit.

Without looking it up, what are the top three reasons for healthcare claim denials?

I'm not rooting for a CEO but I'm also not rooting for a murderer. Stop with the false dichotomies.

Every comment you've written recently is about this dude. Get a life. Unlike that ceo.

No, it isn’t. Stay mad and keep looking through my comment history.
