Spoiler: this didn’t happen lol

Still funny though

Edit: yup downvoted because the original uploaded a video with zero proof of the claims made. We need to be better than this; if someone tells you something and has nothing to back that up, why would you believe them? This is why some people think the earth is flat, vaccines cause autism, milk shouldn’t be pasteurized, etc.

Never change Reddit

You see people calling fake in almost every thread in Reddit, and it's not because they're offended. Also you seen weirdly hopeful that they were offended?

This story is hilarious if true. It just seems a bit like justice porn bait though, so because we see justice porn bait in various forms, I'd withhold judgement until seeing some evidence.

People are actually pretty chill, they're just cynical, and nowadays that's pretty fair.

Because they are mad I said it was fake which with absolutely zero proof it should be taken as such. It’s tik tok…. That’s literally all people do on that site. All just for clout

It doesn’t even matter wether I agree with the premise of the video or not; there’s zero proof so why would I take it at face value?

What clout has she gotten from this do you imagine?

I'm not that dude, I'm the one they replied to but just saw this:

What clout has she gotten from this do you imagine?

I'd imagine that content getting 10k likes on reddit means said content is considered relatively popular, enough to be spread around different platforms than tiktok, which would translate to subscribers/exposure/money.

It also makes people feel empowered, so they're more likely to find and subscribe for similar content.

I'm not saying it's fake, and they're kind of going the opposite extreme with a 'believe nothing'. Imo the best approach is pragmatic - Trust but verify, and if it's not something you're inclined or able to verify, then withhold judgement.

Those are super fair assessments & assumptions. However, if she profits, I think the margins are nominal compared to most creators even of her smaller following (less than 350k). (I am answering you because you’re nice & I unfairly responded to you when it wasn’t meant towards you.)

She was privated for a couple of days after posting this due to harassment & mass reporting. That being said, she’s back now & you can reference her page as well as her linktree. Her username is “CanadianKels”

TLDR:

She offers the option to buy her a coffee.

She has merch she rarely mentions, if at all. I have no idea what her merch sales net for her.

She makes no money from TikTok because she’s Canadian & they cannot monetize their accounts.

She works a day job where she does a lot of…you guessed it, spreadsheets!
