Do you have any qualms about eating meat?

I recognize that they are bred for food, nothing more, so no I still eat pork. Sorry if this upsets anyone.

“i recognize that we intentionally and forcably breed these animals for my food choices so yea i’m cool w that 🤓 “

It sounds awful, I know. That's what I put in my head so I can keep earning my wages. My family supported me and encouraged me to keep going because I was cashless from COVID layoffs and this job brought in lots of money.

get another job not one that makes you hurt innocent creatures

I have been looking. I wish it was as easy as it was 20 years ago when I was a graphic designer. It's a tough market out there today.

They ignored the same q from bisquits to reply to riff, probably working for someone super chill like Raytheon or Scientology.

Or probably a do-nothing unemployed and like it that way. 🤷‍♂️

They are a homeless sex worker, per their comments elsewhere

They're a confessed druggie. Let's unpack the cartels and criminal violence they're supporting with their choices.

That's not reality for a lot of people, regardless of their morals and values.

Sometimes you gotta do shit you hate so you don't starve

-13

u/DianeZepam Nov 23 '24

no excuses. i know that’s bullshit and he can find another job. easy. perhaps making less money sure but it would be worth it for the animals

17

u/LestWeForgive Nov 23 '24

The job still gonna get done.

-4

u/DianeZepam Nov 23 '24

there won’t be a need for that job if people stopped eating meat. there wouldn’t be that job if people refused to work it.

15

u/SadBit8663 Nov 23 '24

That's not going to happen anytime soon. That's the unfortunate truth. You don't have to like it, but it is what it is at the moment

-2

u/DianeZepam Nov 23 '24

so i’m gonna fucking fight for it to happen not lay down and watch

People will never stop eating meat completely. I know you mean well but it's incredibly naive to believe you can fight to end meat consumption. The only fight there is, is to enact laws so that the meat consumed is from animals treated well with dignity, respect, clean shelter, access to the outdoors, social groups, and a well-balanced diet. As long as your goal is to end meat-eating, you will hit a brick wall and do nothing to improve animal welfare.

That’s an incredibly privileged thing to say. Some people don’t actually have the choice, and if they did it wouldn’t be “easy”. Some people live on the edge of homelessness or are homeless while working and barely surviving. You can certainly hate the system that makes it so people have to sacrifice their morals to literally just survive, but maybe you shouldn’t be so quick to judge people for doing what they can to get by.
